She took the cash that was on offer on the day. Its a pawn shop ffs and if she wanted more she would have to wait and she paid and a price for that. Thats pawn shops.
@@ChikinPluker She doesnt look like a junkie at all... She looks like a middle aged housewife lmao. Some people need quick money for other things rather than drugs.
Peanuts is just amazingly entertaining. It's really universal, appreciated all over the world and throughout so many generations. And at the same time, it's so simple. Which to me, shows even greater skill from Schulz. You can just FEEL their personalities and experiences. Their flaws, their fears, their loves and hopes. Everyone that's ever read Peanuts, can relate to some character at some point, regardless of your age. And we all know people like them, of course. Also, I love how Schulz understood and respected people enough to listen to Glickman and create Frankling.
My grandmother may she rest in peace really loved to read the comics in the newspaper and her favorite was The Peanuts Gang, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang. It gives me good memories when I see this. She liked these comics and so do I.
He has to frame and protect it from other employees who might damage the book or make love stains on it. That's a big risk, he might have to knockout afew guys in order to keep that from happening
It pains me seeing people sell this stuff for such a low amount. I know it's still a pawn shop at the end of the day and they want quick cash. However, with just a little work and a few phone calls, you could easily get close to the 3500 if not more at an auction. But it's las vegas lol, everyone seems to need some quick cash there haha. Best place to have a pawn shop.
You drink her and then lose your wife, your kids and your home? Wake up the next morning in the gutter wondering what the fuck just happened? Oh, you said FINE Tequila. My bad.
people cave way too easily lol, she says she was upset she didn't get more but she took that offer pretty quick, which makes you think she just wanted to get rid of it ergo taking it to a pawn shop to begin with haha
They shouldn't allow Chum to interact with these good people. If the book is worth 3200-3500, she should've got at least 2000. However, many "peanuts" in the comment section were once again happy to see Rebecca 😉
Just a quick clarification: he made BILLIONS from Peanuts - not millions. His art is not inexpensive and I think the price paid was on the lower end of fair - but, buyers market in a Pawn Shop.
‘Schultz made millions from peanuts’ And with that, the mystery of why Rebecca had to leave Vegas was revealed. She had spent too much time around Rick making bad jokes. Poor kid.
My friend Roy had that book. The problem is that it was signed by Charlie Brown himself rather than Charles Schulz, which brought the value down a bit. He still got $800 for it though, from a local Peanuts collector.
Interesting how people are always surprised by the shop ripping people off, that's exactly how every pawn shop works. Sell them a laptop for $100 and they'll turn around and throw a $600 price tag on it.
I agree with her assessment it would be worth more had Schulz drawn Snoopy instead of Lucy. I'm a big Schulz fan and am working on a Charlie brown comic strip frame for my nephew and of course Snoopy will be in it.
I can't understand why people take a low offer when they could sell the item on Ebay... I have sold collectible books on Ebay and they are an easy sell.
Around $1500 for a Schultz sketch seems about right. You can get them on eBay for around that. Not authenticated, but it looks legit. Speaker doesn't really know history. Schultz didn't change everything. Hard to believe now but Al Capp was a household name in the 40s. Other cartoonists were Schultz famous in their day, but they have been largely forgotten.
I was sorry to see her take that. She must be in very serious financial straits. He wouldn’t even pay her $.50 on the dollar for something that’ll sell instantly at an auction
Pawn shops really need to stay consistent. Quit low balling ppl. They always try to but something for 50% of its value. If it's their friend they'll give more like 60% or a person they can take advantage of, its more like 35%-40% of the value. You'd get more if you went to the open market. Only go to a Pawn shop if you need a quick loan.
She got ripped off. I would have kept it anyway. Some place safe.
Yeah and you would be missing out on 1.4K for a book you got for free.
She took the cash that was on offer on the day. Its a pawn shop ffs and if she wanted more she would have to wait and she paid and a price for that. Thats pawn shops.
