Interview with Tyreek McDole

Tyreek McDole, the 2023 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocalist winner, has teamed up with the Friends of St. Nicholas Park, West Harlem Development Corporation, NYC Parks and Harlem One Stop to curate a jazz series beginning May 18th in St. Nicholas Park at the plaza. (We are still trying to name the plaza after the late Florence Mills)
McDole was one of the five finalists who emerged from a record number of more than 280 applicants representing 37 countries. This marks only the second time a male vocalist has won in the contest’s 12-year history.
