It's excellent to see a Christian message at the event.
An act of kindness no more condones sin,
than an act of forgiveness condones a wrong-doing.

"how an organization that professes to follow Jesus teachings could hoard $50 million of wealth for a Super Bowl ad?"
      1) How is having $50 million hoarding it if it belongs to you?
There is nothing inherently evil about money.
What wealth God strengthens me to get is first and foremost for my benefit. What benefit to others I choose to use that wealth, is strictly up to my discretion and no other may question my choice of beneficiary.
      2) Why do you assume it's an organization that professes to follow Jesus' teachings?
Many people that are not Christian will demand obedience to the commandments of Christ not because they have good intentions at heart, but because they have evil intentions at heart.
My take on those AI generated images is that they were not created to show an example of loving service. They were created as an example to humiliate those that practice washing each other's feet.
There is always someone accusing someone they believe to be a Christian, of disobeying the teachings of Jesus.
I ask one of them; Specifically what teaching of Jesus do you believe he is not following? The response; is silence.
Jesus washing His disciples' feet was not just to show an example of humility. It was to show too His disciples an example of loving one another which, after Judas had left to betray Him, He gave them the new commandment "Love one another even as I have loved you. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, by your love one too another".
Take the commandment to turn the other cheek as a good example of people's intentional misinterpretation thereof.
When we couple that commandment with the commandment; "He who does not have a sword, let him sell his garment and buy one", it is quite clear that turning the other cheek does not apply to all situations, and there are times when the disciple of Christ is required to take up arms, and discriminate between those that are to be loved, and those that are a problem that must be resolved.

Feeding the poor or using that amount of money to help the vets as another example is simply not a financially beneficially business for them is why they would rather use it at a super bowl for the 2nd time. @@c20ux

@@joehigashi3584 Your argument is archaic. One should not be religious at all. When the end arrives God is not separating us according to Christian, Muslim, Orthodox etc etc. He will be looking at our hearts and what we have done for others. In other words, the time it takes to try and understand the religions history is a waste of time for any of us.
      Do you believe in God?
Do you feel that Jesus Christ came to this earth, was crucified and died for our sins, on the 3rd day He rose and is presently is seated at the right hand of our Father God?

The problem with that mentality is that people think they can continue with the wrong path…
Jesus gathered with sinners and taught them with love, don’t be confused that love is always soft though, tough love is real too as a father who’s child almost gets hit by a car for not looking when crossing a busy road the father would feel both upset and grateful at the same time…the father may run and hug the child happy nothing serious happened, though lash out saying “IVE TOLD YOU A MILLION TIMES TO LOOK BEFORE CROSSING”…
      Gods love can be tough.
The ad doesn’t present his love in the manner of change, it presents it in the manner of remaining in sin….the equivalence to not caring if the child continues to cross the road without looking.

Much like you The ad in my view shows simplicity over small details. such as police vs our country. The love people show for others in the case of washing the feet of a stranger is truly astonishing. Because you would have to let go of ALL pride thats holding you back from seeing the truth in caring for someone. To say you hate police or that people hate a certain group, would be saying they could really use someone washing there feet at that moment for no exact reason.
Washing feet can also be interpreted as doing a good deed
Whos to say after someone does something truly astonishing for someone else they wouldn't feel blessed. It's truly the thought that matters over any political views.

As a Christian woman I'm sick of people using Christ as a political football. Our faith is being pimped as part of the grift, and it's disgusting.
Remember, Trump said he doesn't need to repent because he's never done anything wrong. 😒 we all fall short...that's a basic tenet of our faith. Separation of church and faith was in place for a reason. I don't pretend that mine is the only religion. Freedom of religion is something our forefathers fought and died for. If they came back today in this climate of toxic politics, they would weep...Jesus would weep...sometimes I have to cry. There was a time when people of all faiths and backgrounds got along and respected each other. They recognized that we need each other to survive. They traded with one another, and they respected what their religions taught. Things like "love your neighbor" and "love one another." Every time we choose hate, we please Satan. So if you call yourself a Christian, then act like one! Seek not be above others, but let no man see himself as better than others. If we were to live out our faith, the hatred that has infected our politics would melt away...and the power brokers would lose their power. And people would *want* to know our Christ!

It's a ploy accomplished by trying to insert part of Jefferson's private letter to someone and then trying to force everyone to believe it. when Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, He told them (and us), “I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you” (John 13:15). As His followers, we are to emulate Him, serving one another in lowliness of heart and mind, seeking to build one another up in humility and love. Part of that humble service is to forgive one another (Colossians 3:13). When we seek the preeminence, neglect to serve others, or refuse to forgive, we displease the Lord. True greatness in His kingdom is attained by those with a servant’s heart (Mark 9:35; 10:44), and they will be greatly blessed (John 13:17).

The commercial basically depicts Jesus as the messiah of the Social Gospel of Liberation Theology; a revolutionary figure who overturns every social injustice, is issue-oriented and at the helm of all civil rights movements. His sole purpose is meant to provide meaning & culture to the success of a person, group or political party. Therefore he embraces every cultural attitude and cause then takes them into the sanctuary. This trendy belief system neutralizes the true gospel of sin, repentance, redemption and disciplined godly living. It is a gospel of complete tolerance of everything both good and bad. For example, what about the gang member who may be a drug dealer, murderer or thief? Sure, God and the policeman can forgive him! But how will the felon pay for his crime? If a vandal throws a rock through your window you can forgive him. But who will pay for the new window? In the gospel narrative when Jesus is speaking to the woman about to be punished for adultery, he did not tell her she was OK as long as she really loved the married man because, after all, you are only following your heart and love is all that truly matters! No, he said 'go and sin no more!' Jesus has plenty to say about what sin is in the New Testament so that we can identify it in ourselves, in others and in society. He told us that we will know a tree by the fruit it bear. If we see peaches growing on an apple tree we need to make some sort of judgment. Yes, Jesus said judge not that you be not judged, but in the same gospel he also told us to judge righteous judgment. It is not hate to look at a tree that is bearing fruit different than what is should. This gospel of tolerance and politics is not the gospel of the kingdom of God, but rather a false gospel of religious populism and humanitarian self-fulfillment. Jesus is not a classic political revolutionary or the ultimate community organizer. He is the Son of God, Savior, Lord and soon coming King!

You're brain dead . The Bible never teaches tolerance as a Christian virtue. Jesus teaches forgiveness and repentance. if you read it at all you'd know that. Jesus washed the feet of his DISCIPLES not the Romans, not the people around him, or anyone else. The Bible doesn't care about your feelings. The Bible says "do not be in equally yolked". Only God himself can judge. Jesus wanted us to be kind and to love each other. If you're mad about this commercial then you need to rake a long hard look at yourself and ask yourself " what would you do to your fellow man if Jesus were standing beside you? Would he approve of your words and actions?" I'm willing to bet that if that were to happen, y'all'd be acting right. Putting on a big show of what God Christians you were. Jesus knows your heart and weather or not you've been a good person because that's who you are or because you're being supervised. There's literally a passage there that RECOMMENDS bitter water (poison) be administered to a pregnant woman suspected of infidelity. Remember, in the time of Jesus in the Bible, 2000 years ago, he came to serve, and to spread his gospel. But he is returning soon. He is not going to be the same Jesus that is portrayed, and also seen in the Bible. He’s coming as a judge. Jesus just get us. But he not only taught love and compassion, he taught repentance.

Even though the disciples knew who Jesus was, some of them didn't understand why Jesus would want to wash their feet. So I'm not surprised that some portion of the 120 million people who watched the Superbowl were offended, or didn't understand the "Jesus Gets Us" commercials. The message is simple "Jesus Didn't Teach Hate."

@@xr55 "Didn't teach to love sin". Jesus taught us to "love thy neighbor as thyself". He didn't say "if they're deserving". Jesus is the only one without sin. The rest of us are all sinners. If we're unwilling to love others (because they're sinners), how can we ask Jesus to love us (since we're also sinners)?

They are using Jesus in promoting sin sad and yes treat people with love but don’t support their sin ! “He gets us, all of us” sounds like to me it’s saying he understands us and it’s okay to be a sinner and live life the way you want…. THAT IS NOT CORRECT

Displaying forgiveness and humility is promoting sin? If so, i'm sorry, your version of Jesus is a made-up promoter of sin. In the book I read, Jesus is the very embodiment of Love.

Christ's teachings are in the NEW Testament, too many seem very unfamiliar with what he actually taught. The Old Testament was totally different from what HE actually had to say... I'll stick with Christ's teachings of LOVE and forgiveness from his death on the cross. That was the whole point of his being born of the flesh and being sacrificed for our sins is that we are all 'hopelessly human', but if we believe in him and his father, and ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart, it is given to us. "Judge not lest ye be judged."

Wrong. Jesus also said he came to _fulfill_ the laws and commandments, not destroy them. (Matthew 5:17-19) He supported or condoned the slavery, misogyny, violence and intolerance in both the OT and the NT.
Indeed, Jesus personally said these things:
"And that servant who knew his master's will and did not...do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes." (Luke 12:47)
"Do not think that I come here to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." (Matthew 10:34)
"But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before men." (Luke 19:27)
There is no hate like Christian 'love'.
