    Thank you for showing us Centro Storico Paola, I have travelled through in the train a few times in the past. Looks lovely! Its very busy in the Summer. Michael your pronunciations are really good and Justin, you are improving with your pronunciations - just remember C followed by an E (CE) makes a Ch sound - so Bar Centrale should sound like you pronounce Centro (Storico). I love these travel videos. Perhaps you could look into Belmonte Calabro - when I passed that on the train I was open-mouthed shouting "Look at that!" at the Mausoleo.
    Look it up on youtube and google maps. Huge shocking history too.

    Darling town with so much charm! Definitely going to visit Paola when we come to visit Scalea. I was wondering if you know if the hospital there has good quality care? As one gets older, you need to think about these things. 🙂

    • @MichaelandJustin
      @MichaelandJustin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A hospital with emergency room is south of us , nearby in Belvedere Marittimo. A large university medical center is far south in Catanzaro or north in Salerno. Smaller hospitals are randomly placed throughout areas.

This has helped me tremendously with putting my budget together on my immediate needs on my villa. Wondering if it would help you if you used a medical scooter to get around in the towns. They fold up so you can put it in your car.

    • @MichaelandJustin
      @MichaelandJustin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Scalea, we do see a gentlewman that uses one daily. I, personally, like using my walker. I move slowly, but I was in wheelchair for far too long, and will do all I can, for as long as possible, to keep walking. I am, however, looking for a powerful scooter (that can brave the hill to and from our villa), with enough room for my walker to fold up, so I can go run errands on my own, if need be. (If Justin travels with his mom, etc.)Thanks for the comment, Marlene.
