I have autism myself, and I really want a lot of myths around it debunked. I'm tired of people assuming that autism means low intelligence. Our unemployment rate is disturbingly high because not so much of the stigma around autism, but because autistics don't perform well on job interviews or socially in a work environment. It's basically become self-employed, or find one of the few workplaces where you can admit upfront you have autism and be treated fairly. Both aren't possible for most people, so things need to change.
