Lets be honest the problem with social media is it empowers uneducated people to attack anyone that doesn't agree with their agendas and opinions. Call me old fashioned but back in the day no one had the nerve talk to each other treat each other in derogatory ways. Social media is like a school playground. Only a small amount of people talking sense and actually having proper debates about each others opinions.
It's also the new demographics that have been brought into the sport via sex appeal and tv series like drive to survive. They know next to nothing about the sport but support the driver they find most attractive up until the point it becomes an unhealthy obsession and the lines become blurred. That clearly applies to a specific type of person but those are the most toxic by far...what has this sport come to.
That's what families and people do for their love ones , defend them.
Never underestimate forces of jealousy, she is quite lovely and beautiful and i wish her and Max the best in their future endeavors.

Kelly Piquet is the daughter of an F1 legend. It's understandable that she would grow up associating in F1 circles, and that she might end up in relationships with people inside those F1 circles.
Internet warriors are everywhere nowadays unfortunately. The good days of no social media are long gone.
In Formula 3 Ocon drove for Prema, the dominant force at the time in F3. Verstappen was driving for a midfield team and in the end Verstappen only lost that championship due to reliability which cost Verstappen 4 wins that season.

@@Cameron-Cc Fair enough. I just wanted to reiterate that this wasn't an equal fight. You hear a lot of people saying that Ocon won against Verstappen, but F3 is not a level playing field. It's the same reason Leclerc lost in F3 as well and Rosenqvist suddenly dominated F3 in 2015 when he was nowhere in 2014.
@@the1gladiator2 F1 is an equal playing field? the same can be said about verstappen VS many of the drivers that have been in inferior cars since hes been in F1. max is pretty top shelf, but he hasnt spent much time in midfield cars has he?
@@paradiddlesixix7530 That's an entirely different discussion. I don't see anybody arguing that Verstappen has won against Ocon in F1. And that goes to my point. People pretend F3 is a fair comparison when in many ways it is not.
There is a reason why Verstappen got promoted directly to F1 and it took Ocon a few more years. That's because insiders knew that a team like VAR competing for the driver championship at that time was a major upset.

Abuse, is not just a social issue, the media needs to look at their integrity, honesty, in reporting, the media always focus on to a driver they don’t like. Media needs to set the example for followers to respect! The media currently have no respect for drivers, teams, and the work force.

Im not a f1 mercenary who will look away as long as f1 is making more money and adding new fans. No need! It was perfect the way things were. Sorry Cameron - Nelson's comments were from an old man who grew up in a different time; he clumsily used a dated phraseology he shouldn't have, and people 'explained' through that lens. That doesn't make the comments right or acceptable, but it provides context. Those now attacking Kelly are being vindictive and malicious and cruel, which goes well beyond Nelson's 'old man' bigotry.

Nelson Piquet didn't abuse Hamilton stop it. The word "neguinho" isn't what you guys think. It can be but I watched the video of Nelson saying it and it wasn't meant in the way Lewis cried about.

Speaking with a Brazilian he said, the way it was used was to diminish Lewis and call him little black male. There are three context clues as to how it's used, and he used it in the derogatory term. I will agree, however, it is not the equivalent of the n word, but the WAY he used it was meant to be wielded as close to it as possible with that verbiage
@@Cameron-Cc You will never change the way Brazilians speak. It's normal for them to not always use someone's name. I'm African and have many Brazilian friends and they all agree with me.
@@jeanmakita3839 I speak Portuguese and the word means "little black" but it's not used in that way or to diminish someone. It's a term they use to call people and I have even heard it being used towards white people.

Red Bull racing decides who drives and who doesn't. You don't steal a seat, the other guy loses it. As for Kelly and Max. I believe Kelly and Daniil were separated for a while before Max and Kelly got involved. Should people not be involved if they have known each other prior to separation? As for max being a step dad to Penelope, would he be a better person if he ignored her, or showed no interest in her life?

I have no idea why they or anyone else in the world separates. But any woman starting to date a guy she knew before separation must never have happened before and is a complete social shock. What shouldn't be underestimated btw is that these Piquet (or similar) stories are a double negative where two sides can temporarily claim a spotlight. As long as we talk about it, keyboard warriors will feel validated as they influenced the storyline cycle. And the person that was targeted can decry victimization. So best thing is to leave stories like these rot in the dust. Get these clickbait channel to discuss it. If we are serious about F1, then this is nothing more than a side flow of information and not a main flow. Thus leave it in the dust.
