Very familiar with Warwood. They are made about 2 hrs from my house. Good company.

Where I'm at, I'm more worried about weather events than forest fire. I've spent my $100 on a little chainsaw, but I've always loved the Pulaski. I think it's important to have a tool or 2 just for environmental disasters, I'm just more set for living in tornado alley.

Good info. My neighbor works for Cal Fire and recommended The Big Burn a few years ago. Great read!

all this talk of axes, maddocks, adzes and pulaskis and you dont address the 2000 yr old trojan lookin copper axe that's been hanging out in the background the last few vids, I'm so curious

General Casmir Pulaski (revolutionary general) and Ed Pulaski (inventor of the pulaski tool) are different people

Our fire season has started in the higher deserts of AZ. Lots of rain over the winter. Been dry for months now. It's gonna be rough this year and next.

Would be interested in comparisons of the Warwood vs. Barco and Council when you start using this one.

I'd have told you that was a mattock if you'd asked me!
Edit: seems you can't easily find a Pulaski on this side of the pond (probably why I'd not hear of it) but mattocks are ten a penny.

I was taught that FS means Forest Sircus and FSS means Federal Supply Service.
    Any clarification here?
