Thanks for the video. Not many vids on HR-V front grill removal. My 2016 got the samei inner part busted (not affecting the more expensive top trim parts luckily).. I ordered a factory Honda inner grill and installed it today. I took a shortcut of NOT removing the bumper. The only reason you have to remove tthe bumper is to remove the screw just under both headlamps. You cant remove the headlamps without removing the bumper either. Being very careful after removing plastic retainers and the one screw just under the airduct intake I carefully flexed the grill and where it is attached to bumper with screw below tthe headlight just enough to cut the grill off with a reciprocating saw. Yes..it wasnt the correct way to remove it.. and my new grill is missing two small screws..But you cant tell it and I didnt have to remove the bumper. Someone above asked about the upper trim on the grill.. The inner grill has to come off to replace the outer upper grill trim..It is held on by tabs and screwa. Hope this helps someone. I have a 2018 Honda hrv, will this grill fit that year? And only the top grill of my car is messed up, the lower one is fine, do I still have to take apart the whole bumper to replace it?
You don't actually have to take off the whole bumper, that's a "fat hands, wrong tools" approach. You can loosen the bolts for the headlights and take the inlet pipe for the screenwash, that should give you a better area to undo the lower screws which hold the grille on

Good question! Not on this model sorry, this is for basic model only. However, uninstalling the fog lights won't be that difficult though.

Do you think I can remove the chrome scent pieces next to the Honda logo the chrome bits are peeling off are the clipped or screwed in from the back?

I never installed it, I believe it's for a different model of HRV though.
