5:08 hit me in my feeler. We used to go camping as a family when I was 10, 11, and 12. I used to complain about the bugs and being hot. But when watching this video, it transported me all the way back to that time. Im in my 30s now and I never appreciated it then how precious those moments with my family were. We were all together then, we made memories. Home really is a state of mind
Good Morning Kyle, this was a video that is welcomed very much. I woke up this morning to rain and it's supposed to rain for the next 4 days. First I have to say, John is my very favorite best friend and because we have the same name but, his free spirit, he reminds me of my younger days. You could not have picked a better best friend. Of course you guys had to have some girls in the video, lol. The place you visited is beautiful and I could see me trading my Alaska for that area. Been watching your videos for about a year and have slowly been going through your older videos. I just watched this with my wife and I knew EXACTLY where it was when you got there.
I will also not say the name here, but I was born and raised in southern NH and my dad would take us here in the summers. It was such a magical spot then (30+ years ago!) and I’m so grateful to see it again… especially through your artistic lens.

I spent many summers as a kid on Monhegan Island in Maine and cherish the memories of climbing up to Burnt Head and making homes of moss for the gnomes. Great video

Love when you say “soon the camp site starts to feel like home and you let out a sigh” that is so true. Camping done right does feel like home, a little part of your normal life, some stuff you can pack up, taken out into the woods and be a part of nature.
This one was so sweet! Man! This took me back to Orchard Beach Maine, my Dad and I catching crabs out along this rock jetty then going back to our room steaming them on a hot plate for my mom and my two sisters I was 9 yrs old but I remember like it was yesterday...

We have a cottage on the Maine Coast just south east of Brunswick. Our cottage is on the waterfront with our own docks and beach. We’ve had it since 1940’s. My grandfather purchased it just after the war
I know where you are...my parents took us there every summer as kids... in canvas pup tents, with rain, mosquitoes, heat. THE best possible summers! Going to go back there for a good, long visit when I retire.

At around 5:50 caught a glimpse of the headliner on your Discovery and had a laugh. On every Land Rover I've ever owned, the headliner glue gave away - nice to know I'm not the only one!
There's no place like the Maine coast. I've lived in Maine my entire life and my home is about a mile from Kennebunkport and some of the most amazing, rocky and tranquil beaches....I will live here always breathing in the salty air like no other place on earth.

@@elizabethtrainer9732 howdy! I grew up in Saco. I love Camp Ellis, lots of summers on the beach there as a kid. My Mom grew up in OOB, Dad in Pine Point. I have coasts and fishing villages in my blood.
This video was so peaceful , it helped me relax. I can imagine how MORE beautiful this video would be with a drone because the whole area is gorgeous!

As always, you did not disappoint! Maine is on my bucket list! I have always loved the photography that comes from there as well as the books that were my favorites, where a Maine author lived, Robert McCloskey. My favorite book was One Morning in Maine. I checked it out every summer as a kid to get myself ready for summer camp. I also loved Blueberries for Sal. Robert really captured the state and its beauty....and now you have too. Thanks for the visual feast today...really needed it...am in CA sandwiched in the middle of all the wildfires, praying that some of our land here is spared, and praying for all the families who have been evacuated. Thankfully, my summer camp has been saved...close call. Bless you for another winner!

Man I live in the Bay Area which is a hot spot for Covid and now we're smothered in smoke from the fires around the area and I haven't been able to go out on a hike for a week and watching this video reminded me again how amazing nature is, and it lifted my spirits today, keep up the incredible work

14:25 That’s exactly how I felt last year the first time I went up to my family’s cabin in Maine. I had a 12 hour day at college the day after I came back and I just couldn’t focus and felt miserable. That lasted about a week. All I was thinking about was going back next year. It truly is amazing what a vacation can do to you. Anyway, great video as always!

Growing up in the 70's, I had a friend like John and our adventures were like this. think I will look him up and see what he's up to.
Growing up in a river side farm in a time when life was like a scene out of the Waltons. life was simple yet elegant in memories. You take one back to what is real and the soul of living the good life. I went to a one room school house where ther were three in my class k-8 and less than 30 toal in the entire school. A different way of life!
