Pt. Purbayan Chatterjee is brilliant and inspiring. It is hard to separate where his fingers end and his sitar begins. One of the best players of this instruments by far! He's always innovating even with the familiar, such as this Puriya rendition. Ishaan Ghosh's tabla playing takes your breath away, and he is just a teenager!

Heard you first so many years ago in g d birla sabhaghar in a music competition organised by shti vijay kichlu where you stood first . Kalyani roy jaya biswas and Rais khan sab was present from then I have followed your music the best thing is your music is s perfect blend of Nikhil babu and the great Ustad Vilayat khan please keep it up
My sitar came in yesterday. I played it and it sounds nothing like what he is playing. You don't understand how hard it is to sound that good on a sitar until you try to play it yourself. Let's just say it's not as easy as it looks. I appreciate your music even more now.

Great work sir.. it’s a bliss to see you people performing 😍 But highly disappointed with the cameraman.. too much of unnecessary camera movements have been done. Please avoid using this camera guy in future projects.. a stable camera would be preferred..
Performance is nice, but who told you that Pooriya is romantic? Please be corrected that Pooriya is NOT a romantic melody. It is primarily full of Bhakti-Ras involving devotion, love, submission; not romanticism. One can creatively generate any mood in any Raaga. There also exist many traditional vocal Bandish-s with romantic lyrics in Pooriya, but those do not make it a romantic melody. You have Sohani for that; and may as well consider mixing Maarwa's pathos with some romanticism.
@@kanagarajb9765 Alford thinks he is a genius of Hindustani music. He does this by criticizing maestros. I've seen most of his videos on TH-cam. He does not match up to any of those he criticizes. Arrogance always loses. Purbayanji has more talent in a strand of his hair than Alford has attained in his whole life.
