Hilarious! I feel your pain. I turned my dining room into my painting room, even tho my room is downstairs. My wife so far hasn’t complained. I have miniatures everywhere. Middle Earth is taking over!

Thanks! That was pretty much my thought process 😂 I had other foam, but thought I'd set myself that challenge because it's the foam that's so readily available. Especially when you move house, then buy more furniture and keep all the polystyrene from the packaging 😁 Hopefully I've done enough to it for the painting to work out and give EPS hope for a better crafting future 😅
Only realised while editing part 3: th-cam.com/video/lxdXGNKIaZo/w-d-xo.html ... That I didn't have the letter box, movie black bars in the intro! My constant video intro format has been broken... Renewed shall be the intro that was broken: The barless again shall be there on the rest of my videos 😅
Nice!!! Good to see more progress on this build. Loved the Gandalf outro hahaha 😂 So you have a full gandalf costume? Where do you live? I have a 3D scanning project I want to do...
Haha I was supposed to do the you shall not pass with a broom and actually tidy up, but I forgot to bring it and I was already in full Gandalf get up when I noticed 😂 I'm down from you on the Cornwall/Devon border, so probably too far away even with Shadowfax 😅
@@Nat1videos well there goes my nat 1 collab opportunity 😅 Probably get a better scan with a cosplayer though. I got the costume from Amazon for £60 and I already had the beard and wig from last, last year's Halloween when I went as a serial killer from the 70's who never got caught 😂
I did consider that as that's what every other channel I've seen do, but it made sense to me at the time and I could see the coverage just fine. I didn't know how much I'd use either as I slavered it on excessively to get rid of the polystyrene bobliness. It was a big build/my first big build and how much I'd be using was unknown and I ended up panic buying two more tubs. It seemed quicker at the time even though as I type I realise it would of saved time later during painting because it would be already black... BUT! In my past me's defense I think it was like the experiment with kids and sweets with get 1 now or more later? I wanted the now quickness 😂 As I've been typing, deleting, retyping I've found myself contradicting my past reasons with more reason than I had it seems 😅 I think it all stemmed from not knowing if it would work and wanted to keep the mod podge as it was from tub and when I eventually considered the mod podge splodge technique working I could of mixed in black paint, now I come to think of it, but I didn't know at that point I'd run of time that week and leave the painting till the next one. So as this episode had ended purely sealing the polystyrene, adding in paint to the narrative would of messed up my titles so it worked out for the best 😂 So all in all you make a good point and I also have good points... although some of my past good points are now in doubt (some of mentioned here) I won't be looking too much into every one of them in case I'm left with no good reasons for why 😂 I'd say I'm more of a How I than a How To type of channel aka don't do what I do too much or at all, but hey look at this finished product! 🤣 Thanks for watching also! 🙂

That aluminum foil trick just blew my mind. I was wondering why you were doing it, until I saw you pull out the pillars and realized your cleverness.

Putting white mid podge on white styrofoam must have made it hard to see the coverage. Why didn't you mix in some paint to make it easier to see?
