I practiced in a gym for a while and then full sent it on a tumble track, jumped really high, and didn’t tuck fast enough and landed on my head. No injuries, but I can’t seem to convince myself that I’m not going to do it again 😭
@Drk-cw1xs dang, I've done similar things to that. What really helped me was just to go back to the most basic movement, then slowly work up, and if I was ever not comfortable with it, then go back to the beginning and work up again.
That's awesome! Full and cheat gainer can be some pretty big steps. If learning them out of a backflip isn't working as well as you would like, you can always try learning them out of a different skill, like turning an Arial into a cheat gainer. Any tips where you hit your progression often and do the progressions well but still have hard mental blocks and even after breaks the blocks are still present? For me I've lost my back flip and can't jump without a spot and the more I land it with a spot despite landing them well it's only caused me to get more nervous doing them. In short the more I practice and land a flip the LESS confident I get
@GForce4 Yes! I have had that same problem before. Sometimes, a spot is useful, but a lot of times, it can increase mental blocks like you were saying. What I would recommend is to train around a backflip. Work on backhandsprings, macacos, and backward rolls onto blocks, back pull overs on a trampoline, any trick that involves sort of the same motion. You can also go at it from a completely different angle. For example, you could start learning a side flip and then turn that into a backflip. If you want, send me a clip on Instagram, and I will review it and give you some other tips. instagram.com/adamsonofgib/profilecard/?igsh=bnVsYTRycDlqNmw3
@Brunoisafademaster129 That's awesome! I am working on several other videos about backflip fear and butterfly twist. You can message me on Instagram, and I would love to review any clips of tricks and give some feedback. instagram.com/adamsonofgib/profilecard/?igsh=bnVsYTRycDlqNmw3

@@adamsonofgibMakes sense! I’m doing the same thing, just practicing the roll over a high block right now!
I really want to get down backfull and cheat gainer. I'm just always doubting myself whether or not if I have the height or not
