With 'necessary' I always used to teach my pupils "one 'c' and two 's'. If you're not sure which is first then 'c' comes first in the alphabet"
19 out of 20 ---shows I listened when I went to school 70+ years ago, not like today.
A teacher once told us that when you are embarrassed you are REALLY embarrassed so there are lots of r’s and lots of s’s. So I never forgot that there are two of each. Just like dessert and desert. For the food, you want two helpings so it’s two s’s.
What I do is we want sweet dessert right? So double the sugar with double s
I got 18😊
I got all 21 correct.
The only one I got wrong!
21/21. It is all in the reading of which l do masses, with no TV. English second language and a retentive brain. I do not distinguish between Amrican and British English when l read but only use British when l write.
Judgement and judgment are equally correct - it depends to some extent on the context
21/21 I use these words quite often & actually had to pause on several of them to make sure I was correct!🤦♀️ I still enjoyed the quiz very much & I appreciate you for each one, because as I get older I am realizing that I need to refresh myself more often. God bless you as much as you & your work bless me & many others! ❤️👏🙏 💟

I am now a 75 years old man & I was born in the Far East of Asian Continent.
GET it is an auxillary verb but it is mostly used in the colloquial English & not in Using Good English Correctly.
It has to be: ( the sentence structure is)
As I grow older...not I get older because you are talking the time or future to come...
me to
@@servillanonaoe9089 When using age as an adjective before the subject, you, it is incorrect to say, I am a 75 years old man. The correct phrase would be, I am a 75 year old man. Just saying..
I am 79 yrs old and got three wrong.
Yet I don't think its
to bad for an.old lady😂
@Pat R, congratulations on passing the quiz with a perfect score of 21/21! Your dedication to using these words in your everyday language is commendable, and the fact that you took the time to ensure your accuracy shows your commitment to learning. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the quiz and find value in refreshing your knowledge as you grow older. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to me, and I'm grateful to know that my work has a positive impact on you and many others. May you continue to be blessed as well. Thank you for being so supportive! ❤🌟🙏
For question 2, judgment and judgement are alternate correct spellings. Judgement was used more in the past, but most spellcheck software will flag it these days. American Dictionaries still list both as correct, even discounting British English.
Missed two, those Nuns were fabulous teachers!
Got them all right! 😊 Glad you included both British & American spelling too. 🙂
Excellent job, Catherine! 💯😍👍
Thank you for taking the quiz.
Thanks
Glad you clarified about
"Judgment" (U.S.A.),
and "Judgement"(U.K.)
Thank you.😊.
🇬🇧😊🌹🇺🇲📖🦉🇬🇧
A very useful list of words for an ultimately erudite and enjoyable spelling quiz. Thank you for sharing it! 🙏🧠🤗🤓💕🦋🦋🐞🌹👍
@Mel Stiller, you're welcome! I'm glad you found the list of words useful. It's great to hear that you enjoyed it. 🙏🤗🤓🦋🦋🌹👍

I appreciate the sometimes unexpected spelling of certain words; or how to anticipate the spelling of other words. As a lover of words, I have always appreciated the foundation(s) of a good spelling quiz. Thank you for making yours a first-rate educational experience. 🙏🤗🤓🫂💕🌹
18/20! Given that I no longer write much by hand, since no one can read my handwriting (!!!), I have grown accustomed to spell-checker correcting spelling for me. I also think there remain some differences among USA, UK, and Canada versions of English words and their spelling. Throw in a German background, and classes in French, Latin, German, Hebrew, and Greek (a long time ago!) and spelling does become confusing.
bro it was of 21 marks 🤣🤣 watch the whole video
Ha! I still remember being marked wrong on my English Regents exam where I chose "judgement." Guess both spellings are acceptable now---too late for me!
Spellings are confusing like I think vaccum is the correct spelling
So much fun creates writing of composition easier thumbs up to the producer keep it up add more and more❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for participating! ❤️👍
Both judgment and judgement are acceptable in England. Oxford University Press prefers judgement.
I learned Oxford English for 7 years in my home country Germany. So, judgement for me, please, even after 54 years here in America.
18 of 21. What helps with correct spelling is correct pronunciation. A couple of them I did not have the correct pronunciation and missed the correct spelling.
Well done! 😍👍
I have always enjoyed a good spelling test, both when at school & ever since too!! 😊
I got 19/21. Thanks for creating an useful video instead of useless videos in you tube at present
I'm an ace speller as I once had a boss who called me into his office daily as he couldn't spell anything because he had dyslexia. He even had me write business letters too although he owned the business! 😊
Enjoyed watching the quiz very much. Scored full marks. Thank you.
21/21. I've always preferred the British English spelling. Thank you. Ciao.
Fantastic job, Patrizia! 💯😍👍
19/20. Great quiz, I had to pause it twice to be sure. Thanks for adding the alternate spelling too.
Great job, Kimberly! ❤️👍
Thanks for participating.

When i was in elementary,,thought i was wrong picking judgement instead of judgment.. questions in our class were raised about the rt spelling...and our teacher consulting other teachers which one is rt..we all ended up rt about the two...so..in this quizz i picked up the two..both with e and with out...thanks
I scored 15 out of 20 great efforts on my behalf.😊👏👏
21 /21.1'm European and there's only one English language that we exported to America and they invented a new English language

20/20 At least I can still spell 😁 I've learned on these to try to get my eyes straight to the right one and NOT to look at the other choices. If you look at ANY word long enough it will start to look misspelled.

Thank you for taking the quiz.
I'm one of those nerdy people who rarely has trouble with spelling (unlike with those nasty little numbers which trip me up every which way!). However I used to have trouble remembering 'separate', until I realised that if you sePARate things, you keep them aPARt.
That's a clever way to remember the spelling of "separate"! It's funny how certain tricks can help us remember tricky words.
I got 17 correct.Thank u for the quiz very interesting.I enjoyed it.
