I've always recycled before it became known as upcycling. I love it! I had no idea that some people threw their pets collars away though 😔 I have always saved my cats collars and their name tags, and a tiny bit of fur in a bag and keep them all safely in a box. I could never throw them away they're too precious ❤
You could also clip the collar like they did in the video but frame it like a military rank/medal. So each pet leaving would not be dead but “advancing to admiral meu-meu in the cat heaven” or something sweet like that, thinking of your pets living on in your heart and heaven forever. At least that was my idea of it 🤷♀️
Recycling and upcycling are two different things. Recycling is the destruction of waste to make an entirely new product while upcycling is taking items and fixing them up into something new or nice, upcycled items don't lose their original look and you can tell what the item was before it was upcycled. Upcycling was coined in 1994, but it's just another term for repurposing, rejuvenating, refurbishing, and renovating. 💖
OH you are in for a binge lol. I've finally made it through all the videos that these STUD MUFFINS have put out on TH-cam. Now I catch myself checking all the time if they've done something new and AMAZING 🤩😍🎉
Good idea! But, many thrift stores compact the used clothing that doesn't sell at the prices they mark them, instead of lowering the prices, and instead *PAY* to have them hauled off to places in AFRICA to be DUMPED! The receiving country doesn't want what they refer to it as, *"DEAD, OLD WHITE MEN CLOTHES!"* FACT! Research it!!!!
Don’t make clothes for ur pets…. They have evolved to have fur for a reason it protects them from cold. Pets also hate clothes and other fancy accessories
You know, I feel like eventually humanity is going to start digging up those landfills to get at the resources we buried because we found new ways to use the resources we previously thought was garbage. For example, Diesel was seen as a waste product when making gasoline, but now you'd be hard pressed to find a truck that doesn't run on the stuff. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that we find other ways to utilize "waste products," too. Also, I work in the wind energy business they discard the wind turbines every 10 years nor every 20 and they usually cut them up and send them to the nearest landfill. 😢
No one making can tab bags (or anything from can tabs) is spending that much in one go, they've either been collecting them for long periods of time, getting them from friends and family, etc. Also just going around and collecting cans to recycle for free, you keep the tabs, recycle the cans and get some money. Anyone sitting around drinking loads of canned drinks on their own for tabs is a lunatic...lol! Tab bags are off the back of tab bracelets which are off the back of safety pin bracelets. I still have a little tab pouch that I made in Girl Scouts back in the 80s. For a while you could buy big bags of tabs from a few sites on the internet in the early 90s before there were sites like eBay.
I do love this channel dearly, but please pleeeeease could you make it a bit louder? These truly amazing videos have always been pretty low volume, but this one is so close to absolute silence, if I turn the volume high enough to understand a word, our beloved and absolutely not obnoxiously intrusive youtube ads might shatter my windows, bones, sanity, my neighbours glasses and potentially the pavement outside.
I had to laugh at him saying the wind turbines don't emit any emissions to the environment, does he not know how they are made and how much energy is consumed and how much pollution is created in the mining for the materials for the wind turbines, and how much coal and oil is consumed in mining and refining the materials in order to make them, and in order to transport them from place of manufacturing to the docks and ship them and then to unship them and all the vehicles needed to transport them and then all the rigging and digging which is needed in transporting and installing them, and all the oil used in order to do that ? Does he not realise all the blades and trunk of the turbines needs replacing every few years, and the energy that they produce in their few short years of life is only a small tiny fraction of the energy used utilising coal oil and gas in order to make and transport them. I am no fan of coal or oil for energy use, but unfortunately it is thousands of times more environmentally friendly and much cleaner to the environment to burn a small amount of coal compared to what is required in order to produce one wind turbine. You would need about 1000 life times of wind turbines in order to produce the energy required in order to build 1 wind turbine, which would at best only last a few years, and it only produces power when there is wind, and that's not all the time, so even that makes wind power unreliable and inconsistent. And at times wind turbines catch on fire releasing toxic fumes into the environment. Then they are dismantled, replaced and buried in the ground to leak their toxic for generations as they are not biodegradable and are also not recyclable, so they last eternity buried in the ground. Unfortunately the best reliable and cleaner for the environment is coal power. Although I do not like the idea of burning coal for power, it requires many many times less mineral mining requirements, and much less pollutants into the environment. Wind turbine blades and trunks only last a few years before they need to be replaced, and since they are un recyclable, they are all buried in mass wind turbine burials, literally a hole is dug, blades are put in there and covered with dirt, they are not environmentally friendly, Also coal burning produces CO2, which is what trees and plant life require in order to breath, we all learn about this in school, photo synthesis, Trees breath in CO2 and wood is formed by storing CO2 in what is wood. This is why there is so much greenery because plant life thrives on CO2 and also nitrogen. The more CO2 and nitrogen in the environment, the more plant life grows, the more plant life grows, the more food can be produced, the more food production, more availability for food for growing populations, take Australia for eg, Australia produces 4 times as much food than what the population required. Plants and trees take in the CO2 and emit out oxygen which we all know only too well. We breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, trees breath in CO2 and breath out oxygen. This entire green energy movement is unfortunately a one big scam.
Good morning y'all !!!!! I start my morning Amazed everyday! I love your videos, every last one! But what I want to know is where do you find a can of Coke for 83 cents? LOL
For those fish tanks, I hope they can still be accessed easily for feeding and maintenance Those plastic bottle boats and structures are cool though! Very useful too
Wind as it exists isn't sustainable energy. Those big windmills have diesel motors to start and stop them. Plus only get ten years of use. One of the stupidest ideas ever conceived.
The discarded jeans can also be turned into tote bags, purses, other clothes like denim vests and there is probably enough fabric in some of the larger sized to make some kids clothes. If you’re good with a sewing machines. You could probably make some denim chair covers as well as pillows for the sofa or really large pillows like bean bag chairs for kids. Yes you probably will end up piecing s couple of pairs together for something large! Try making pot holders as well as aprons and table cloths, table runners and place mats as well as napkins!!
Recycled waste is not the main problem in the seas. It's the discarded fishing nets that cause the most ecological damage. I'm not saying recycling isn't a problem it's not the no1 problem. If the sea dies the land dies. If the land dies the sea can still survive.
Dang it 😖😵💫 all to.... I originally wanted to post that the pop tab designer bag might have cost up to $400 only IF she DIDN'T litter pick (go through others trash/landfills if you can/higher kids lol).
We've been taking the tabs off of soda cans for years and years.... Never knew what to do with the 6,000+ tabs. 1,500 fit into a two liter bottle and we've filled more than four bottles just sitting in the shed. 🤷
"~92 coke products per person per a year" ">60mil discarded plastics a day" 330m people in the US.. 3.36 Billion coke products a year (many aluminum) 21.9 billion discarded plastics a year seeing as most of the drink products on the shelf are coke or pepsi, these numbers dont seem to add up...
