@@raleyadventures thank you! Tbh I should have started a training program already but I’ve been too caught up chasing this sub 20. I should be doing easy runs really (base phase) as since my marathon back in April I’ve only ran 5k’s and only two 10k’s since then which have been my longest runs. This has been because of my lingering marathon injury that was stopping me from running any longer distance. Im thinking of trusting Garmin Race adaptive training instead of following a generic program and starting that asap.
Thank you for the video, Devizes is pretty local to me too and I have been considering doing the Quaker's Walk one at some point soon. I did Melksham this morning and got a PB, I've only been running a couple of months so a PB for me was actually 35:22 but it's three minutes quicker than the last time I did Melksham two weeks ago. Pretty achy now though! Quaker's walk looks alright though, maybe a bit narrow in places and with it being 3 laps quite a few instances where you meet oncoming runners but I'd be up for trying it.
@@andyveale that’s a fantastic Pb!! 3 minutes is huge, well done!! It’s actually not as bad as the video suggests, you do meet on coming runners more often here but it’s not too narrow and there is room to pass. I was at melksham today too, I was the 26 pacer!
@@CarlTheAmateurRunner I'd have said Hi had I known. They mentioned you at the start of the run didn't they? I'm sure they mentioned a pacer. That means we must have passed each other at some point, how funny! Did you have the blue vest on and were carrying the GoPro on a minitripod? I like the Melksham course but there is that narrow bit just before the football field with the cover from overhead trees, is Quaker's Walk that narrow at any point? I got the impression it wasn't, just a shorter course.
@@kathrynflannery2889 that’s absolutely fine! Not very often in my progression have I seen pb after pb week in week out. Being only 4 secs means you are still in and around your best time which is good! Well done!!
Nice vlog bud and nicely ran
Thank you mate and thanks for watching!
HM training will definitely help with the shorter stuff. Good luck. This looked like a nice Parkrun
@@vickyshaw1709 thank you and thanks for watching!
It was a nice park run and being local to me one that I will definitely revisit.
Looked like a good one, well done for your time and excited to see your training plan, wont be long before you hit a nice 19:xx

Yes that was me 😂 …it’s not to bad, enough room to pass
I did Park Run this morning locally. 4 seconds slower than last week. 😂
