- Within the confines of a suburban bungalow a larger than life personality, Robin Colvill, explores the intricacies of both his work and personal life. Through comedy-centric anecdotes and off the cuff jokes, the highs and lows of Robin's life are revealed. With a particular affinity for jukeboxes, he takes us through the moments and friendships that have shaped his life.
This film was made for the year 1 documentary module at the Northern Film School.

Lovely little film with a big heart. You made both me smile and cry. There appears to to be a silvery thread of melancholy upon which your story hangs. I absolutely loved watching the Grumbleweeds, they always made me laugh out loud. I remember the first time I saw them was on the 70s TV show, The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, hosted by the wonderfully dry Colin Compton and pre-outrage Sir Bernard of Manning. I even remember them being regularly on TISWAS!! Thank you so much for the memories [I'm well into my 60s nowadays] and so glad he has his jukeboxes.
Loved those guys. Seen them live many times. Robin and Graham were top drawer, bless them for all of the laughter given.
One of my VERY BEST memories of Blackpool was the Grumbleweeds, and I have many, many, many, Blackpool memories!! I just loved the Grumbleweeds, especially Graham..... a true original entertainer!
EDIT: His act of "ANDY" in the wheelchair was just brilliant...... " I don't want that one"!! LOL

His Saville impersonation IS BETTER. Than Jimmy's ( jangle of jewelry ).....Great doc.....I bet he could do a six parter for CH4....thanks !

Brilliant Documentary & great film work. I never knew Graham had died. I met them both & interviewed them on a few occasions on my radio show in Preston.

I met Robin and the one who died a few years back. I loved watching them do there act. I wish I could watch them perform again
Seen them at the chesterfield Aquarius very funny , couple of my favourite are the Hovis avert , Demis Roussos with the fire extinguisher , and repairs jukeboxes man after my own heart repair, all sorts is in My Shed.

Very funny group. Loved listening to them in the early 80s, was it Radio 2? Started watching them again on You Tube..........as hilarious as 45 years ago
I can't believe it's ten years since Graham passed. I saw them do what must have been one of his last pantos in Hull. Great performers and love Robin.
