@noel_996 Not really, it all depends on who is tuning her. And she had the perfect amount of engine noise in her voice to still sound like Gumi, but also enough clarity that it wasn't just engine noise you were hearing. She sounded very pretty in V6. And this is coming from someone who used to not care for Gumi because I didn't think she sounded unique enough on the older engines.
@@Sakachi18 I guess. I just like her clarity in SynthV more. The problem with vocaloid is the pronunciations of its words. Sometimes they sound weird or muffled.
@noel_996 Sometimes yes, depending on the voice the syllables can sound slurred or muffled, but honestly some human singers actually do that with their words/syllables, so it doesn't bother me. And I personally prefer the engine noise in the voices. I hate SynthV for how much it changes the voices. People always used to hate on Vocaloid because they feared that human singers would lose their jobs to computers. But once they heard how techy and distorted the voices were, they stopped worrying and some began to even enjoy Vocaloid. But SynthV makes the voices sound MUCH more realistic and closer to the humans who provided their voices for them and you have to really mess with the voices to get them to sound more like the old voices the characters had. So now I worry virtual singers will all end up sounding closer to the humans who gave their voices for them, rather than the characters voices that we have had for years now. Which would not only suck because if we wanted to listen to the actual humans, we could just look up the voice providers singing. But it also sucks because this makes it more close to AI being able to take humans jobs which everyone is worried about right now, and that could cause people who don't know Vocaloid to just hate it too by association.
@@Sakachi18 I get what your saying but I don’t think SynthV is even close to that point yet. It still sounds too artificial to a human. I don’t think it’s a that point nor will they try to override real singers. I’m just disappointed with vocaloid overall because it’s just been the same for years with just a dab of new paint with a $100 price tag per update. Sure you get a couple voicebanks with the purchase but they don’t sound as good as one SynthV voicebank. My conclusion was quantity over quality and Yamaha really showed that. AI will never replace humans or our work. They still need to learn/ input from us and I think this “AI” phase will die out like 3D or VR. Not saying it’ll go away but there will be new outcomes here and there, but nothing will replace the human presence.
