@Justin Widle
:)
They should play this on NPR jazz stations and then all the jazz fans get addicted to it and then one day they play the original and everyone's mind is so blown suddenly all jazz fans are into mathcore and elderly retirees are blasting Botch and what have you.
I hope your rendition causes that to happen.
God, this. Please. In 2018 this is possible. The President and then CNN used the word "Shithole" soooo this CAN happen.
@brassrocket
Heheh..... loved your wonderful comment!!! Thank you!!! We can all hope, I suppose :)
@Jimes Tooper
Haha! I'll see what I can do ;D
add some sprangalang ride cymbal and walking upright bass lines, and mmmmm jazz
brassrocket probably because jazz tries to keep a consistent time signature, but mathcore is the opposite, its cool to see something new in jazz maybe...
Even played the delay tails at 2:43.... This guy is insane I love this.
Many, many thanks, Jeff!!
YOU ARE AWESOME
DEP's sickest track ever. but a note for note on tempo piano cover is unimaginable! respect!
@Hardihood SG
Thank you so much! I'm really happy that you enjoyed it!
Easily their most extreme/abrasive song. Great cover!
@@TheseBitchesWantNikes I wouldn't say 'easily', the whole Calculating album is this level of nuts
Stravinsky would be proud of our modern music
Bruh this sound like a dark souls theme taken up 43%. Haha get it. Any way good job I love this song
Many thanks, Doug! :)
This is what having a panic attack feels like
when the boss is in his final form
Technically insane...the best kind of insane! You nailed the hell out of this ol favorite tune of mine, I'll be rewatching this indefinitely...
Tony Six
Thank you for such a comment, Tony. I'm so glad that you appreciated it.
This is absolutely incredible!! My favorite thing is, with the piano, you can hear a lot more of the counterpoint action going on than you can with the heavily distorted guitar and bass!! So awesome!!
Many, many thanks!
You’re so beautiful! Spit on yourself!!
@Make Weird Music
Heheh.... will do! :D
this sounds exactly like the most epic charlie chaplin chase scene soundtrack I have ever heard. I can literally picture the entire movie playing out in my head.
Hahaha... I'm glad you liked it!
Why does this only have 16k views?
This is a masterpiece.
You did a phenomenal job my friend. I was at the Dillinger shows when they were in Philly in the 90s. Pure chaos. Thank you for doing this and paying homage to a once great band.
Many, many thanks! Alas, I never got a chance to see them live.....
haha sounds like Bartok
@Oivalf Music
I agree! :D
Ptoowey!!!
Stravinsky broke the coffin, sat and played)
@Wowee Gowee
Haha! Thanks! :D
This cover is underrated as hell. Its absolutely amazing and crazy. I loved every second of it.
Thank you so much!!
this was a spiritual experience to watch
@Kezia Naomi
Thank you so much, Kezia! I really appreciate what you wrote!
Sorry if you have gotten this before but ever listened to Protest the Hero, Kezia? 😇
@@killmepls7865 Ya thats why I made that my username!!! One of my favorite albums along with Fortress
@@kezianaomi1839 They are really great albums, i prefer Kezia over Fortress. How did you like Palimpsest? It was their best album since Fortress IMHO.
@@killmepls7865 Ya it was pretty good, better than Scurrilous. I think the record still needs to grow on me since its newer still. I really enjoyed Volition and Pacific Myth. Kezia and Fortress are still their best albums easily.
WOW. Incredible
Fancy seeing you here! I remember your stuff on ASDF movie as a kid!
I asked myself how this great song would sound on a piano...and man...I wasnt disappointed! really nice!
This is great. One of my all time favorite songs from the best math core album of all time on piano. So good. New sub achieved.
Thank you so much, Ron!
this gives me actual life
Thank you so much!! I more recently made an improved recording:

I couldn’t possibly compliment this adequately... exceptional. Remarkable. Stunning. Thank you...
@Hunnyrock Pounder
Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate it!
I never knew I needed this in my life, but now I need more.
@Jon Lowe
Thanks, Jon! I've more DEP arrangements on the horizon......
Holy shit.... This is super awesome and so very intense.
Many thanks, Dave!!
so fuckin sick
@A Rep
Ha! I'm glad you enjoyed my rendition! :D
sounds like final boss fight music in a jrpg, never thought I would think a dep song would sound like that
This is like if Arnold Schoenberg met John Coltrane.
You have made my year. Thank you so much for this inspiring video
Many, many thanks!!
This was like hearing the song for the first time again. Holy. Excellent work! Keep it up!
Andrew Pletcher
Thank you, Andrew! There are plenty more on the way....
Completely insane
Antony Jakobowski
Happy you thought so! :D
I keep coming back to this. It's extraordinary.
This is absolutely genius
@Caden Kratsch
Thank you so much, Caden!
Absolutely fantastic and deserves way more views
Thank you, Danny!
One of the coolest videos that i’ve seen yet!!!

Insane!! Thank you for sharing this gem

Many thanks, Jaakko!
Good lord sir!
So sick!! one of my favorite songs, awesome seeing it on piano!
Kieri Ogden
I'm so glad that you liked my rendition!
I knew it was gonna get good when it got to the jazz break.
I don't know, I'm watching this basically 4 years after it was originally posted. But this is wonderful, for real. Loved it. Congrats.
Thank you!!! I've recently uploaded a revised recording here: th-cam.com/video/5U2WoYkvsxQ/w-d-xo.html
@@SequoiaSounds Keep up the great work!
absolutely amazing
Thanks, Chris!
WTF!!!!
So good!
Trop bon, ce putain de piano, incroyable!
J'adooooooore
Absolutely wonderful.
@Make Weird Music
Thank you so much!
Any plans for another DEP cover? I'd love to hear Clip the Apex or When I lost my Bet. Rolo Tomassi could be another good option.
I've already sketched out a number of other DEP tracks, but I may not get time to complete/record them for awhile.
Awesome!
This dude is an absolute genius
If you are interested, I've since uploaded a revised arrangement here: th-cam.com/video/5U2WoYkvsxQ/w-d-xo.html
Yes, it sounds like Bartok, and like Schoenberg, Stockhausen, everything of the sort. I think this is an awsome rendition. Kudos!
@Cosme Fulanito
Thank you!!
exquisite! exuberant!
@guguigugu
I'm so pleased to hear that this reinterpretation has gone down so well. I'll certain make some other DEP arrangements in the future!
Straight up got-dang AWESOMENESS
Many, many thanks!!
This is fucking great man. I was luft-drumming the whole time. Hats off for you mate.
Freyzi Madison
Many, many thanks!
i can just about play 12 bar blues and then i see this and i am fucking mesmerized and i also realized i should probably just stick to drums. Great cover my man
DANtheINSANE
Bless ya!
Really good cover! I'm assuming you followed the only guitar pro tab out there that everyone uses. It's close to perfect, but the "flight of the bumble bee" riff actually starts at your 26 second mark. So, do your left hand part at 38 seconds on the 26 seconds mark as well :)
This is bat shit fucking crazy. Congratulations.
Thank you, Joey!!
Also, I hope you know, I hopped over to Ben Weinman's Instagram after seeing this just to make sure he's seen it, he told me he has and that he thinks "it's genius"
To the point and precise. I love it. :)
Thank you!! I've posted a revised recording here: th-cam.com/video/5U2WoYkvsxQ/w-d-xo.html
another exeptional rendition!
Lezetmusic
Thank you!
fuck me this is a true class act, under-rated, is there anything this guy couldn't play? Doubt.
Holy shit! Fantastic!!!
Dillinger 365

Really good arrangement, I love it! I would ask for the sheet music but there's no way I would be able to play it, lol
johnnycbad
Thank you!
really reminds me of Bartok
Hi, is there possibility of getting sheet for this?
Will u make pi or behold the crown?
Came for Radiohead found TDEP: I'm in tears
@Giacomo Antonelli
Wow! Thank you! I never knew that what I did would have that effect!
Very good. How long it take you to learn the song.
I mean no one will know if you messed up
soundtrack for a psycho killer lol
CrazyGuyOnDrums
:D
This shit is epic
Many thanks!!
Outstanding
Hey there, this is rather extraordinary. What was it like to figure out and transpose?
Many thanks, Samuel! I use a free app called Amazing Slow Downer to help me work out the detail. I wouldn't be able to make such accurate transcriptions without it!
Epic!! Subscribed. I give you a suggestion: "Wolf among sheep" by Broken Hope. I always thought that it will sound really awesome on the piano :D
@Guido Bisocoli
Thanks, Guido!
I don't know Broken Hope's work, but I'll certainly give it a listen!
You should upload your sheet music/tabs so we could learn this song too!
Can you please record all these and put them on spotify. I would 100% listen to a playlist of all your metal covers
I'd love to in the future, but I'd have to get them all cleared for copyright first....
