Ireland started having MCB-OD's around 2010, as well. Bray Station LC was made an MCB-OD between 2009-2010, but most crossings in Ireland are MCB-CCTV, so they could take a leaf out of our book...
I apologise that this is 3 months late, but this crossing’s cctv is viewed from Seamer signal box not too far from Scarborough. There was something that needed to be changed for whatever reason regarding the signal box and because of that it’s now an cctv crossing
It seemed like the OD equipment was originally fitted in 2010 with the CCTV cameras still there for some reason going by previous streetviews. I'm not 100% why that was or why they converted it back to just a CCTV crossing.
Brilliant Videos and Crossing!👍🏻👍🏻
Many thanks!
Nice! Wow looks like only cameras and the signals! Looks like some of the Od system was removed for a reason!

You'd think that if Obstacle Detection was here, it would be removed. Pretty cool that it was the first!
I wonder why the more standard setup wasn't implemented when the trial system was removed.
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings yeah
Excellent video and Crossing
Thank you very much!
I remember this crossing as a gated one with no warning lights(not sure if it had an alarm)back in the early 90s.
Great video! Sounds like one of the alarms there was skipping a bit? Also wonder why they downgraded it from MCB-OD to MCB-CCTV?
Thank you! Indeed it was skipping. I personally have no idea why it was converted back to just a CCTV crossing.

How come they removed the radars? Bit of a waste of time, that...
So what you're saying is that this has always been a CCTV, but had OD equipment retrofitted?

@@SouthEastLevelCrossings Yeah, I looked on Street View this morning, and the OD equipment was still there around 2018.
