Taking a printer on airplane as checked in baggage - May need to remove ink beforehand

Can I make my printer in my luggage and without being told while they scan my luggage to open it and make the printer outside ?
and another question please : in the connected flight
(from my country - to transit country - to destination country)
and while in the transit airport, should I find my luggage and take it for the check again and taking new ticket ? Or I should not try to find it because it will gone automatically to the plane and I should not take a new ticket ?
Please tell me about that because I don't wanna lose my luggage and information about tickets, because it will be my first flight .
