    Hey just want to say that actually working 9-5 isn't so bad depends on where u work & the type of job u do. Not everyone got to do the job that they passionate about. I used to be like u, being jobless for years & couldn't see myself being like those people who woke up early morning for work. Even quit my previous job cos it gave me depression. 10 years had passed I'm working 9-5 again & it is actually wasn't so bad. I finally understood that the world doesn't revolved around me & all the hardship help me become more resilience.

    Bro literally I’ve been back and forth at my mom’s home until me and my fiancée bought our first home last year! If my kids ever get in a bad situation they can always come home until they get on their feet. I won’t let my kids use me but my home will always be available just like my moms was to me! If it wasn’t for my mom I wouldn’t have been able to live at all. My now fiancée him and his family before his parents passed away always stayed close together too! Oh and I’m 35, people aren’t truly waking up and shown how to succeed until way later in life. I was taught nothing in life and had to learn on my own. You are only 28 I know it doesn’t seem like anything will change for you but it definitely will! Just do what is best for you.

    Hearing such an open and honest take about the way our lives are supposed to be structured is honestly so refreshing. It seems easier to just go through the motions and learn to be okay with it, but eventually, that just becomes mentally taxing. I think many people (myself included) are content with where they are & believe that wanting more out of life is unrealistic. Hopefully, we can get to a point in time where people become less willing to conform to societal standards and instead feel encouraged to carve their own path.

I'm 20 and I left my fast food job almost 6 months ago to focus on my long-term goals with my mentor in hopes of earning income with our startup organisation and content creation journey right away, but that still hasn't happened yet. I took this risk without any other clear backup plan. I also had loads of money stolen by my MMA coach that I am suing him for on a shoestring budget, and got smacked in the face with a couple thousand grand student loan a few months ago. I'm facing so much pressure from my mother and other relatives to get another job for the stability, and it is truly STRESSFUL!

    Hi! Thank you for sharing your experience. I've recently figured out this stuff too, i'm turning 28 in 4 months. Sometimes I still feel like a fuck up because I didn't even finish high school, but i could never "fit in" so it was hard. As you've shared your advice let me tell you just one thing. Try not to "be pissed" because you didn't figure your way out earlier. All these years made you who you are and that's very important, it's not wasted time.
    Also you're beautiful. Sometimes is a double sharped blade but even if it's a little sad a lot of people decide to stay and hear you out because of your looks, so it's something that has power and makes a difference in the mind. I know it's kind of superficial but it's also an advantage somehow. Maybe it's what also has driven me to write this, instead of just give it a like and go on.

This worked for our parents generation, but for us we have to be exceptionally luck to benefit from schools, universities and conventional employment in the same way. Its really hard to have self worth when the world is still built on thsi old and dying form of capitalism.

    I am 26, pretty much in the same position. I kind of figured it out. I decided to start a small business with something I am passionate about (skincare) and just start selling oils, and things like that. With the internet it is alot easier to make money as opposed to pre-internet days. You were able to reach 6,500 people with the video. If you start selling a product you can turn those people into customers. The most important thing is to hustle, you have to post everyday. The best way to reach people is by doing lives, you can educate them about your product while they are watching. Find something your a passionate about, this took a long time for me but at the end I noticed I was always interested in skin care. There are so many things you can sell, if you can afford a physical product, create digital products like online courses, digital planners, stock photos/vidoes, vlogs, informational videos or blogs. Keep pushing your content, direct traffic to your sites, ask people to like and subscribe, you will actually get more subscribers if you ask. Good luck!

    The times are not that different. The only thing different now is that people your age don't want to work hard to get where you want to be. Stop crying about your being broke or your situation. The thing that is didfferent now is you see these people on instagram doing these things and it makes you envy their lives. Most people your age, even in the baby boomer generation, did not have the money to by a house or do a lot of things you say you want to do. No one is going to give you anything. You have to go out and make your own opportunities to get what you want legally.

    • @sahib1469

      Your comment is coming from a place of ignorance. Over the last 50 years, house prices and the CPI has risen dramatically, nominal wages have also, but when adjusted for inflation, wage growth has not kept pace anyway near house prices and cost of living. This is why 50 years ago the average age in the UK to buy a house was 27-28, whereas now it is 33, and even 37 in London. It’s not because of laziness. Things are simply just becoming more expensive and wages are not following adequately. Saying “times are not that different” is so unbelievably bizarre considering the amount of change in all areas of life that has come the last few decades.

    • @earlr2992
      @earlr2992 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have no idea who you are speaking to. I am speaking from experience. I have a degree in Engineering and doctorate in physics. I started my consulting shortly after getting my degrees. I got a home when I was 28 in the late 90's because I had money saved and got some help from my parents. None of my friends I went to school with were able to afford a home at 28 either in the late 90's. Even before that it was the same. So don't tell me any nonsense about being ignorant. You are ignorant. This guy and others like him come on youtube wasting thier time rather than going out and making their own opportunities. No one is ever going to give you anything. Stop complaining and do something about it. Getting likes on youtube or social media is not the way to make that happen. Unlless he wants to start an onlyfans or something like that. It seems like younger people not just want to be youtube stars or do porn on Onlyfans. That seems to be their aspirations these days.

    • @sahib1469
      @sahib1469 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@earlr2992 You have brought up your personal achievements and anecdotal examples as if they somehow completely refute my argument, but this is precisely the issue. My point is not about individual effort, it is about the larger economic context. Many studies indicate that real estate prices and the cost of living have risen sharply in the last few decades whilst real wage growth has stagnated, meaning that it is just simply more difficult to reach financial milestones like homeownership, especially in high demand areas. This is not something you can chalk up to laziness. Of course social media has played a role in changing perceptions, but it isn't the root issue. There are many young people who do work hard, often juggling multiple jobs or side hustles to make ends meet. Just because you may not see a lot of that on your social media feeds does not mean it does not exist. There are definitely motivational issues in this generation but it is most definitely more structural, if you look at the data, it's just undeniable. And as you have brought up your achievements, I will share that I am 18 years old, just achieved 4A*s in my A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Psychology, and I am currently in a gap year in which I have begun a marketing agency which is already generating around 10k in monthly revenue. This however, will not change my stance on the structural issues we are facing in todays economy, just because I have done very well for myself very quickly does not mean these issues do not exist. I urge you not to look at people's age and life experience and automatically assume they are incorrect or ungrateful because of it, but to consider the actual evidence.
