Hassan Syed Maybe the way it was portrayed was bad, but the story itself was pretty good. - A boy born a slave destined to save the galaxy from a great evil. - The boy trains, struggling to overcome his continuous loss (Qui-Gon, his mother, his arm, his apprentice) - The boy grows, being championed as the hero to many and an inspiration of hope during a time of darkness. - The boy learns of further loss to come and desperately seeks to save the life of the woman he loves. - In his desperation, the boy pledges himself to the very thing he was destined to destroy. - The boy loses everything he sought to protect; his friends, his Republic, his wife and child, and his power, and once again becomes a slave to another master.
Stephen64138 True. The main part I liked about the prequels was the lightsaber duels and the battles. I mean, compare the Battle of Geonosis with the Battle of Endor, and it's a night and day difference. But I also liked seeing more of Vader's backstory; how we were able to see the story how he was actually a victim rather than a villain. Also agree; the sequels are pure trash. That's why I recommend Legends continuity.

Anakin's story has always been one full of tragedy mostly because he tried to live up to being the hero he thought the Jedi were supposed to be. Because he was born a slave and experienced its harshness, he was sympathetic to people who were generally looked down upon. He always thought the Jedi were guardians of peace, heroes who freed slaves, destroyed criminal cartels like the Hutts or Black Sun, saved the day, etc. But as the years went by, he began to realize the Jedi weren't who he thought they were. He was considered the hero of the Republic not just because he would lead his troops to victory while fighting with them on the front lines, but because he'd refuse to leave anyone behind. Whether it was clones pinned down in a hot zone, or slaves held in a Separatist base that was about to be bombed, Anakin refused to leave anyone to die. He was among the few Jedi that liked the clones and actually considered them as people rather than things that were manufactured in a laboratory. After how many Jedi betrayed the Republic during the Clone War, and how his own apprentice was hunted down despite her innocence, Anakin began to have his doubts about the Order, which were only further cemented, when, as Darth Vader, he learned the Council had kept bounty hunters, cyborgs and low level Force users who were capable of killing Jedi imprisoned within a secret facility without trial. From his point of view, he saw that the Jedi were evil.

Anakin Skywalker has always been my favorite character, there is so much to who he is at his core. He was hero, but also a victim. He was indeed very powerful. He caused pain as Vader but he also felt pain. He was a young innocent and troubled child in episode 1, a conflicted and barely held together young man who was torn between many things and damaged by loss and grief and guilt by episode 2, and by the time of episode 3 he'd been through so much pain and loss and seen so much darkness and evil throughout the clone wars that it broke him down even more and none of the Jedi could ever understand what he'd been through and his struggles nor did they even try to understand. And in the end, he was a broken man placed in a black suit, believing he deserved this for the things he'd done, believing he was beyond redemption, that he deserved to be the thing he hated most beyond himself: a slave. I can't thank you enough for being so passionate and able to express it. For an old guy, you do my heart SO much good. I watch every one of your videos. It's all so amazing! I hope you are enjoying life and happy every day. I love watching Star Wars stuff with other Star Wars fans! Thank you for uploading your experience!
i love Anakin as well, i always felt for him so much, he was manipulated most of his life and made out to be something he isnt. Just like Arthas in World of Warcraft as well, They were manipulated to become the monsters they they became, but they were not truly evil, just used as weapons by their manipulators.
Watching this video made me realize how amazing the story behind Star Wars truly is. I just wish sometime in the future, we can get a full remake of all the movies. They deserve one cohesive vision and to be made with the utmost respect. The movies don't do this story justice. And I say this as a HUGE Star Wars fan.
Everytime I see the part where Padme was like no come back please and then he turns back to the light side it always gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up
You should see Vader : Shards Of The Past from Star Wars Theory and scene 38 reimagened by Fixitinpost, the Vader Kenobi lightsaber fight from Episode 4, both are awesome

I love this video so so much. It's one of my top favorite videos. It's so emotional but it tells the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker so well! He's one of my top favorite characters in all of Star Wars. There were so many layers to him that it also made him not only a great villain but an amazing character. He deserved so much better! 😭🥺
LouiseJulie it makes me cry every time mainly because of the music and the clips they used to edit throughout the video. I love Anakin but Vader is my favorite character after Luke Skywalker.
For Vader to have that memory of speaking with the ghost of Qui-Gon at the end telling him "you'll find another way" as he takes that last glance out at the stars where the Millenium Falcon just jumped away, and considering what had just transpired on Bespin trying to convince Luke to join him, it genuinely makes me feel sorry for him. It's also a great way to interpret Vader's silence in that moment, you know, why he doesn't immediately strangle half the bridge crew for losing the Falcon, AGAIN. Somewhere in there his heart was set on overthrowing Palpatine with Luke, and when Luke got away, Vader is left there thinking 'Luke was my only chance, what do I do now? I can't defeat the Emperor alone and no one else would stand a chance'. Then THAT memory pops up and he just strides across the bridge, too lost in thought to care about punishing his officers. I loved how HFP showed the good in him fighting to get out, that buried deep down in there somewere he still holds on to the belief that he is the Chosen One in that moment, and that one way or another his destiny is supposed to be to bring balance to the Force......somehow. "you'll find another way". Beautifully edited there!
Oh my God! I'm all in tears. This is a very moving video ... Anakin Skywalker is the best, despite the fact that he became a Sith, in my heart he will remain a Jedi FOREVER!
Glad you randomly shows up in my home feed. Cuz that was really well done. Everything I already know, so to see what Disney has done is just beyond words. I'll never watch those 3 movies again for the rest of my life.
RIP Anakin Skywalker....we will remember you not for what you did in the service of an evil Sith Lord who only used words to manipulate others...but we will remember you for your courage, bravery, for never leaving those you cared about behind...and much more. You may or may not have been the Chosen One...but you were without doubt one of the best Jedi of your time. Lastly we will remember you for enduring the pain and sadness for so long...only to save your son at the last moment...and ending the Emperor for good (Disney can go to hell, Sidious did not return past Episode 6 Return of the Jedi...not according to Lucas original books).
Gotta love the way the Sequels looked at this story and said, “Nah, the story obviously isn’t finished. Needs some ad-libbed soft reboot story. Nah, Anakin doesn’t matter, look at this cool new girl, REY! Look, she killed Palpatine! Not Anakin, REY!” This is the reason I don’t consider the Sequels canon. Rogue One? Heck yeah! Solo? Eh, maybe. The Seqeuls? F*ck no.
Truthfully, many fans watched the sequel trilogy and decided the same. If Disney wants to retcon two generations of community built lore, brick by brick...book by book; how can they stop us from denying "their" canon? I believe episode 7-9 never happened, and I'll take all my EU Lore back thank you very much lol XD
It is almost a ayer of you publish this video, I am glad that people of your age enjoy the tales of Star Wars, and that you get so moved of it, there is still hope, for mi it was for many years, hope you still getting to enjoy and learn about these great history, mi best regards for you.
HFP perfectly captured the death of Padme being the root of all his pain and suffering and rage and unleashing it onto others as well as her love and Luke being what is left of that being what brings him back.
HFP's tributes are so emotionally breathtaking, you've taken your first step into a much larger world. Please do Kenobi when you find an opportunity, also "Greatest Teacher Failure Is" and "Path of Skywalker".
@@ajwsings he didn't, palpatine and his 1000 clones plus his granddaughter plus Kylo, Snoke and the Ren knights. There was more dark side users than light users.
disneystarwars is non-canon fanfiction; they openly admitted they ignored George`s ideas/notes, therefore it`s their own bigoted direction and not lore. Also lore has to carry on from the other stories with respect and cohesion and disneystarwars tries to destroy most of it. No way canon, just what has been made and starwars to them is a Platform.
I love the idea that everyone Vader chokes is him seeing how close he can get before killing them, also seeing the light come out of people’s eyes, like he did to Padme, he misses her and kills everyone the same way to feel his and hers pain. I love anakin
When padme was saying come back when luck was being shocked, to me that is what went though his head as he stood there and it was padme that brought him back.
The only moment when anakin wasn’t a slave was when he killed the emperor and saw his sons face, that’s why he said “you already have, Luke.” After Luke said he needed to save him 😁
Thats the crazy thing about those episodes in TCW Anakin falls to the darkside so easily as soon as someone shows him his future, and its not like he came back on his own either... THEY WIPED HIS MEMORY, so he had no knowledge of his future he doesnt remember anything he was shown by the son
Please please react to the Star Wars Red Five trailer! Is a Mashup with the Top Gun Maverick trailer and the Original Trilogy Luke is amazing! There is also the side-by-side comparison that I recommend you see later, and the Top Gun intro with the Battle of Yavin...

I hope you will react to them, they are awesome. Now some people find it confusing to where to start because they weren't released chronologically so I want to help you with that. "For over a thousand generations the Jedi knights have been the guardians of peace and justice in the old republic. There later came a prophecy about this being called the Chosen One, destined to bring balance to the force. Us Jedi thought that balance was to destroy the sith, and let the light prevail. I later found this boy, named Anakin Skywalker, he became a powerful jedi under my training. He was the best star pilot in the galaxy, and he was a good friend. He joined the sith under the jurisdiction that his wife was going to die, it turns out the Emperor was right, but in a different way. He is the true Chosen one, not anyone else. He brought balance to the force, destroying the sith and himself. He will be remembered as the most powerful jedi in the galaxies history."- Obi- Wan Kenobi (altered version of the quote)
What makes the final duel between Obi Wan, and Anakin even more upsetting...is the fact, that Obi Wan wasn't trying to kill Anakin. That wasn't the reason he went to Mustafar. He went there, to save his best friend, and his brother.
alot of people over look the scene in return of the jedi where Vader clashed his saber with Luke everyone thinks he was saving the emperor but what Lucas revealed was that while he was conflicted he was actually stopping Luke from making the same mistake he did.
The hard lesson here; is he DID restore balance to the force. Balance; between the light and the dark side. He fulfilled the prophecy. That is the heroic and tragic story of Anakin Skywalker. Such a poetic, evil, and beautifully wonderful story.

LouiseJulie, you're so emotional and eloquent. I wish I could communicate my emotions as well as you do. I have several of your reactions bookmarked because you say and feel what I wish I could.
Im crying because the new trilogy ruins all of this.
It was such a perfect ending but then disney was like nO ThEre'S mORe
What new trilogy? 🙄 I only have I-VI.
@@capowable ep 7-9 who??
it doesn't ruin it if you don't acknowledge their existence
like why you being an idiot talking crazy
sequels after episode 6? your talkin shit dude.
Episode 7-9 Is not part of the story
Watching this video made me realize how amazing the story behind Star Wars truly is. I just wish sometime in the future, we can get a full remake of all the movies. They deserve one cohesive vision and to be made with the utmost respect. The movies don't do this story justice. And I say this as a HUGE Star Wars fan.
Everytime I see the part where Padme was like no come back please and then he turns back to the light side it always gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up
Also do Kenobi, The greatest teacher failure is and the 501st our duty. All made by HFP too.
You should see Vader : Shards Of The Past from Star Wars Theory and scene 38 reimagened by Fixitinpost, the Vader Kenobi lightsaber fight from Episode 4, both are awesome
HFP does some amazing work. I recommend Kenobi next by him .
+LouiseJulie_ I think Anakin’s mother’s death is what truly made him take the step to the Dark Side
That definitely started it. All the stuff with Ahsoka leaving and the fear of Padme dying just shoved him further along the path
It’s pretty much the Jedi fault for anikan turning they wouldn’t trust him
@@killiandolan782 There's so many things that played into his fall to becoming Vader
Yes!!! I love that lightsaber scene mixed with Yoda and the Emporers fight my favorite in the saga. I cried so hard in the theater as a kid lol this movie and universe means so much to me lol
7:49 i cried too hard. had to stop. call me weak. i don't care. this is too much for me. perfect reaction. im with you! edit: i really cried like a little child. FFFCKK!!!
The Suns can't set if there is no horizon... you may fire when ready.
lmao
Lastly we will remember you for enduring the pain and sadness for so long...only to save your son at the last moment...and ending the Emperor for good (Disney can go to hell, Sidious did not return past Episode 6 Return of the Jedi...not according to Lucas original books).
i also cried to this video. such a beautiful story. when he says "You were right about me, tell your sister you were riiiigghht" Tears
Gotta love the way the Sequels looked at this story and said, “Nah, the story obviously isn’t finished. Needs some ad-libbed soft reboot story. Nah, Anakin doesn’t matter, look at this cool new girl, REY! Look, she killed Palpatine! Not Anakin, REY!”
This is the reason I don’t consider the Sequels canon. Rogue One? Heck yeah! Solo? Eh, maybe. The Seqeuls? F*ck no.
Anakin still killed Darth Sidious even though he was brought back. Check out wookiepedia
Clay Brazil What does it matter if the Sith ended up returning, and the Jedi were wiped out all over again?
Truthfully, many fans watched the sequel trilogy and decided the same. If Disney wants to retcon two generations of community built lore, brick by brick...book by book; how can they stop us from denying "their" canon? I believe episode 7-9 never happened, and I'll take all my EU Lore back thank you very much lol XD
Gojirawars 03 that doesn’t change the fact that Sidious was killed at the Battle of Endor. I have spoken
Gojirawars 03 the sequels are abominations of storytelling.
It is almost a ayer of you publish this video, I am glad that people of your age enjoy the tales of Star Wars, and that you get so moved of it, there is still hope, for mi it was for many years, hope you still getting to enjoy and learn about these great history, mi best regards for you.
This music is officially my funeral song. Anakin is and always has been my favorite character
HFP perfectly captured the death of Padme being the root of all his pain and suffering and rage and unleashing it onto others as well as her love and Luke being what is left of that being what brings him back.
"Kenobi" by HFP is even better than this one :)
Doubtful but to each of his own i guess
Kenobi is amazing, and really shows you that despite all the loss Anakin faced in his life, he could have resisted.
TRUTH.
Kenobi and The Greatest Teacher Failure Is are much better.
yes pls
You should do more of this guy’s Star Wars tributes
The Broken Promise is absolutely amazing, you should react to it.
Yes, she should! Here's the link th-cam.com/video/pJvm5VXzJpg/w-d-xo.html
I love how Anakin had this huge journey just for palpatine to come back
from all your crying i wish i could give you a hug for comfort as a good friend of me possibly.
HFP's tributes are so emotionally breathtaking, you've taken your first step into a much larger world. Please do Kenobi when you find an opportunity, also "Greatest Teacher Failure Is" and "Path of Skywalker".
Anikan always called someone his master until Luke set him free
You cry beautifully. Annakins story is a tragic and sad one. And I can’t watch any of the Star Wars movies without seeing him that way now.
"You will bring balance to the force... until JJ and Ryan strike in the next trilogy. then all the prequels and originals will mean nothing"
Lol
Anakin still brought balance you fool
I love Star Wars! This was amazing! Anakin and Luke are my favorite characters.
I loved this video, and her reactions were priceless! But man! Who was chopping onions while I was watching this!?! May The Force be With You!
Found this on my recommended list. Loved it. Also, this shows that star wars is not only for males. You gained a subscriber :)
Star Wars is for everyone, like it's always been; and that's one of the many amazing things about it
Is there a full reaction video to Fallen Order (Order 66)? I saw the little snippet on IG. That part got me emotional too. And the ending with Vader
th-cam.com/video/QbCb9iliXVM/w-d-xo.html&t :D
LouiseJulie_ thank you!!!
Darth Vader remembers Anakin Skywalker is also a really great one!
Same for me, I saw that video too (Ahsoka and anakin) and it just broke my heart
It's great that you're finally doing reactions! I once asked you during one one of your streams if you had ever seen the swtor cinematic trailers and you said you didn't. I hope you will react to them, they are awesome. Now some people find it confusing to where to start because they weren't released chronologically so I want to help you with that. They also for some reason changed the voice over dialogue of 2 of the trailers and those versions are kinda lame so if you're going to react to it I would love it if you reacted to the right versions. I'll link the videos so you don't accidentally get the wrong voice over dialogue versions
The order that you should watch is:
Return th-cam.com/video/mm4JEZudf0c/w-d-xo.html
Hope th-cam.com/video/1ToztqqDcaY/w-d-xo.html
Deceived th-cam.com/video/YdgmH9Vv2-I/w-d-xo.html
Sacrifice th-cam.com/video/Nzq9epS2b1A/w-d-xo.html
Betrayed th-cam.com/video/LbpDxrew4A0/w-d-xo.html
The first 3 have amazing action and the last 2 are more emotional.
You need to watch anakin skywalker broken promise
He brought balance to the force, then he destroyed it.
He was a hero for me then he became a monster.
He is one of the greatest character I ever knew.
Legend of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
Came here after your reaction to Kenobi, no I had to cry for the second time, kudos
I saw an edit where Rex was pointing his blasters towards Vader and he says “We loved you, General. We *all* loved you”
You need to react to " i am only vader"
"What does your heart tell you?"
"I failed to save you.. I promise that'll never happen again.."
In the end he learned how to save the ones he loved from dying.
I literally almost cried at the end. So sad 😢
Damn.... this was amazing. Very well edited.
Anakin never blamed Obi Wan for what happened. Anakin knew he did it himself, he blamed Obi Wan for leaving him.
"Then you will die" i felt that hit my feels like a semi. His own padawan. HIS OWN FUCKING PADAWAN.
Great reaction☺️
Greetings from Germany
May the force be with you, always!
Scratch that last comment... Anakins first words as Vader may be the most heartbreaking thing I have heard.. He is almost resigned..he knows he is trapped...
As someone who has seen this so much times and is just starting this reaction - hahaha GOOD LUCK NOT CRYING LOUISE! ;-)
“Tell your sister, you were right”.
-Anakin to Luke Skywalker
I cry everytime too. *May the force be with you!* @Louise
this video got me every time when i watch it...Love Episode 3:)))
Some of these fan edits are really good
Well, broken promise always breaks my heart.
Oh man, imagine if he put some Fallen Order clips in there but this was made way before hand unfortunately, BUT there's room for edit O_o
The story of Anakin Skywalker/Vader is one of the saddest and most tragic stories in cinema.
If its any consolation Louise, I was crying with you...
And in the end, he finally had the power to save the ones he loved.
I dont know if you will see this but one of my favourite fan edits is the tragedy of the clones by SWFT as it is just the perfect tribute to the clones. I would highly recommend watching it.
You would love the HFP Last Skywalker video emotional as hell
"I'm not your failure Obi-Wan...
You didn't kill Anakin...Skywalker...
...
I did..."
The channel Make It Dirty has some great Star Wars vids too. Anakin Forgets and Darth Vader Remembers
What makes the final duel between Obi Wan, and Anakin even more upsetting...is the fact, that Obi Wan wasn't trying to kill Anakin. That wasn't the reason he went to Mustafar. He went there, to save his best friend, and his brother.
alot of people over look the scene in return of the jedi where
Vader clashed his saber with Luke everyone thinks he was saving the emperor but what Lucas revealed was that while he was conflicted he was actually stopping Luke from making the same mistake he did.
Legit shed a tear.
This made me cry in the end dam
The hard lesson here; is he DID restore balance to the force. Balance; between the light and the dark side. He fulfilled the prophecy. That is the heroic and tragic story of Anakin Skywalker. Such a poetic, evil, and beautifully wonderful story.
Thanks for this awesome reaction video
you have to watch kenobi by HFP next
My favourite streamer is now my favourite TH-camr
