It seems that E8 had a miserable babyhood constantly attacked by his bigger brother. In another video, his dad tried to feed him, but he refused to take the food from his dad because his older brother was staying very close. When his brother turned around facing the other direction, E8 took the food from his dad as fast as lightning, and when his brother faced his direction, he refused to take the food from dad again. E8 is very smart creating this survival skill. When he became a juvenile, his bigger brother became strong enough to get his own prey, but E8 was attacked by an owl and was rescued for treatments. He was found very weak and thin. He is 8 years old now. Hopefully his intelligence can help him make a good life.
I can't tell you how many of these nest cams I've watched...and until now I've never seen a parent actually notice an issue and then be able to come up with a solution. Would wager to say the vast majority of other pairs out there would just stare...unaware of the issue or indifferent to the possible outcome.
What are you folks talking about the second parent didn't help in any way THE LITTLEST STILL DIDN'T GET FED THIS TIME AROUND the stupid mother only has eyes for one. She's blind or stupid bird
Good point! Also I've just recently noticed all other sub species don't get 2 fledglings,... I thought why? Then it occurred there's a key difference from bald eagles,.... They share parental duties and are not just ALWAYS with mother
She knows it's an instinct to feed the older more aggressive chick they. The parents probably did the same to their siblings.most times ONLT THE STRONG SURVIVES
M15 is the best daddy ever
Wonderful❤😊
Yes! Maybe not hungry anymore❤

I love she is feeding
If sibling rivalry is normal, why does it stop when the father shows up? 🤔

Mom was unfair,
M15 has always been the fair parent
Not really. The other chick was asleep.
Я разочарована..думала орлы заботливые родители.. 😳..а этот жадный птенец не лопнет от переедания..🤨

Harriet had a tendency to favor one whereas dad always tried to feed the one she snubbed

Maybe afraid to try to eat for fear of getting honked
The little one is not eating and does not look good at all
Very saf
Can't raise his head up to get food...gets attacked every time...im sure it won't survive.
