    I always love getting Pastor Skip’s perspective alongside my reading of the Bible. I’m doing the Bible in a year for the second year in a row and Pastor Skip always adds so much breadth to my learning experience.

    We are justified by faith and prove it by love. Thank you for emphasizing that baptism is the outward sign of what has already taken place.

    Discovered Pastor Skip's ministry during the pandemic when my own church's services were canceled although we are worshiping virtually. I still listen to Skip several times a day. I love how he teach, his knowledge is not puffed up. I live in Maryland and listen on TH-cam. I'm so thankful for your for ministry and gift.

    I just want to talk Pastor Skip for these lessons of Genesis. The Bible study I am a member of and a substitute teacher of we are reading and studying Genesis. Our study called “Genesis A Study of Beginnings” and we too study and complete lessons and lead lectures Verse by verse. I searched for additional help to get more, deeper revelation of the words of this book. Thankfully God brought me here to this playlist of you teaching verse by verse. Ohhhh what a blessing this is right on time and exactly what I need. I’m watching every video for the whole series along with the week by week chapter as we study it. It truly has helped my understanding and I thank God for it!! Thank you and Amen❤️✝️🙋🏾‍♀️

    Hi Skip, I have a question on circumcision. you said it was practiced in other nations but its states in the bible that it was a sign of the covenant. I understand what your saying but in Genesis 17: 14 it states 'And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”'
    I've tried to come to an understanding and researched Egypt's so called "evidence" and I didn't find anywhere that it was called a "circumcision of the foreskin". The Picture of Ancient Egypt's circumcision is only a picture. Pictures could tell a thousand stories. Also found articles about The sun God Ra cutting himself and people in our day call it circumcision but he is also a myth. The word of God specifically says "circumcision in the flesh of the foreskin"
    so my question is are you basing that information on what researches are saying and their evidence of that ancient egypt picture? i Also know they never tell storys that show they are weak also so my trust in ancient hieroglyphics isn't good lol.
    I truly believe Circumcision started with Abraham as a sign of his covenant to HIS people.
    I love your studies by the way. they challenge me to dig deeper into scripture and search the heart of God. Hope you have a great day.
    Your sister in Christ, Nia.

    Abraham was old. But, much younger than a 99 year old of today. He also had children by a third woman after Sara died.
    So 99 was not that old during Abraham's time.

    For anyone reading this or even if Skip sees this. You said the saying of "God helps those who helps themselves". Why wouldn't you consider this to be true? Not saying that if we don't help ourselves God will still not come to his aid but isn't our actions, the things we do, pleasing in God's sight?

    • @satrinarlord7715
      @satrinarlord7715 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Skip was simply clarifying that the saying is NOT in or from the Bible as many people have claimed. Plus, if God only helps people who they help themselves, that is essentially "works," not grace. God often helps people who have no ability to help themselves and often are not deserving of His help. He is a God of grace and mercy. He doesn't need our help or our "works." Yes, sometimes we need to take common sense action. For example, eat right and monitor our insulin to remain healthy, submit a resume if you’re looking for a job, etc. But God's ability to do the miraculous doesn't depend on our actions, schemes, and designs. That is why Abram and Sarai trying to "help" God has resulted in the disastrous consequences we are still experiencing today ( Arab-Israeli Conflict).
