Had you just got the factory stud threaded stud from maybe 88 to 93 -90 so it only has one in the throttle body not to like yours since you wanted to use the k&n all you needed was the factory stud in the middle and not purchase the specter because that one is too short for the k&n filter that you wanted to use a factory one in the center would work perfect I would like to know the part number for that k&n filter because I have the same air cleaner and I want a taller filter thank you
After installing that filter on your truck did it make a loud air suction noise when accelerating? I installed a Proform open air cleaner on my 92 350 and when I accelerate I can hear a loud air suction noise and goes away when I stop accelerating or if I accelerate hard so I don’t know if that’s normal or if there’s a vacuum leak somewhere, once I put the stock air cleaner it doesn’t do it anymore.
@@TheBossXVI it’s cool, I can’t find them anywhere new. I have the same set up in my 94 but I’m missing the studs so looks like I’ll have to go to a single hole lid with the offset stud. I just don’t know if it’s long enough.
@@irishuwould5185 Did you ever find any? I'm about to put this same Edelbrock filter on my 94 5.7 k1500 since I can't source any of the original filter parts any more. I'm happy to send ya the ones I take off.
@@irishuwould5185 Sure man, not a problem! I'm changing mine out too, tired of trying to find all the plastic hoses and everything to keep it all hooked up. It's a 1994, so it's time. LOL Glad ya got sorted!
You can buy the nine inch stud and bend it to the way it should go
Ok thank you
did you ever get the k&n filter installed?
Yes I did and it's a lot taller

Oh ok good to know and let me see if I can find it
Use the filter that came with the air cleaner
Nah it’s mad thin and doesn’t breathe well. Blow thru it and blow thru the k&n. You’ll feel the difference
Get you some all tread make it as long as you need or you can flip your bottom. Plate upside down
Oh ok thanks for the tip 👍

It for sure gets louder and you could hear the air get sucked in harder when you accelerate
Yep it’s normal
That’s the whole point of it besides looks. Does nothing else
Do you no what that hose is called that you put on the back spacer
I dont know I try looking for it since mine broke
Ya me too bro some people said they don’t make them no more that we gotta make our own some how
That makes sense because I looked everywhere for it
It’s cold or short ramp intake
To be honest, I'm not a 100% sure.
How long were those stock dual studs
I honestly don't remember sorry

@@wcs39204 I appreciate the offer, but I ended up buying the single hole lid and offset stud. Works just fine. Again, thanks for offering.

did this make your truck faster?
It felt like at was lol 😆 but I had flow master before then I add a more quiet muffler so I feel like it more restricted 🤷♂️
