    ¡Hola buenas tardes Gormo! Without sounding too obvious, this video brings years of hard work together and, for me, is the whole idea of 'playing trains'. Getting the most realistic camera angles and really appreciating the hard work, effort and design that has gone into creating such scenes. Everyone will have their own take on a particular modelling technique however, it's only when you display your own works to others, can those ideas be seen and possibly used to improve their own skills. Thanks again for sharing today Gormo. As ever, stay safe and well. Un salado. Gary

      G`day Gary and thank you for your comments and insights.
      Yes this model railway thingy is a long term project which tends to get better with age.
      All the best
      Cheers

      G`day Muso and thanks,
      Yes I am quite happy with where it is now, but still lots to do.

    Gormo, Your layout is beautiful and it really made me smile when I saw the Isetta bubble car on the bridge. I love seeing the 1960s 3 wheelers. I still have my old Messerschmitt and shall be getting it registered again soon after being laid up for a while. Oxford die cast do a nice Messerschmitt……….I reckon you might have room for one……just sayin’ …😜👍🍻 Cheers mate, Dave-O from Mooloolah.

      G`day David,
      Yes Oxford do some great models and I would not be averse to having a Messerschmitt.
      Thanks for your comments
      All the best

      @@greatchesterfordjunction Gormo, I have been rummaging in my little box of stuff and I have 2 red Messerschmitts by Oxford Diecasts. I would like you have one to keep your Issetta company. How do we go about getting a mailing address for me to send it to you ? Cheers, Dave-O 🤓

      @@davidplatten9872 G`day Dave and thanks for your generous offer.
      TH-cam no longer offers private messaging and I`m not keen on putting my email address on here, so it`s difficult.
      The safest option for me would be via Platform 1 MRC although that requires membership ( free ) and private messaging is available on the forum.
      If you`re not keen on joining, that`s fine, so you can save your little Messerschmitt for another day.
      Cheers
      Gormo

    Excellent layout. Your trees and foliage look so real. I have used some of your tips in the past for making my own. Thanks for sharing your skills. Regards from Graham in old Blighty 👌👍

      G`day Graham and thanks for your comments.
      The trees really make a difference to a layout in my opinion helping to blur the line between model and background.
      Cheers

    Great video, Gormo. A pleasure to watch. You are getting some amazing performances from some of those older locomotives. M

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you,
      Yes the old locos are running well....especially the old Lima engines.
      I lubricate them with INOX, an Australian lubricant that seems to help them run smooth and slow.
      It`s not safe with traction tyres though, so one has to be careful.
      Cheers
      Gormo

    Hi Gormo, excellent video, great to see a lot of rolling stock, had the pedestrian just been run over on the bridge lol 😂

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      G`day Barry,
      Thanks for your comment and yes the pedestrian has just been run over.
      He`s my token idiot figure ( cheap Chinese import ) who can often be seen sitting on fences, bridges, roads etc. like the true and utter fool that he is.
      Cheers

    Hey mate, couldn't help but notice but is that Warwick Castle in your backscene? Went there back in 2016 whilst travelling around Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds (I'm a Sydneysider), love the layout mate 👍🏻

      @greatchesterfordjunction  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      G`day Jibbsey
      Thanks for your comments,
      Yes it is Warwick Castle, I was there in 1991, long time ago now.
      I mix and match buildings and scenery from different areas just for fun and trying to make it look good.
      Cheers
      Gormo ( fellow Sydneysider )

    Hi, Gormo. At mark 1:47 to 2:15, there is a gentleman sitting on the motorcar bridge in the middle of the oncoming lane. Did he get up and leave or did he get a ride to the local hospital for treatment? 😁 Great video. Dennis.

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      G`day Dennis,
      Yes this bloke is a bit of a problem around the layout, he is often found sitting on the edge of a bridge or a wall overlooking the railway or just making a general nuisance of himself by laying on the road.
      With any luck, one day, the boys in the white coats will come along and take him away.
      Cheers
      Gormo

    Nice layout and a fun running session - but a toad on a passenger working.......??

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Ken,
      At last somebody noticed the Toad......😁
      It`s a temporary trial because I need a brake coach.
      Haven`t found one yet at the right price without the need to mortgage the house.
      All the best
      Gormo
