Still nowadays we don't have a game where the spectators move away if you go towards them, they are just obstacles to avoid to not get a penalty. And about random events, we only have Dirt 4/Rally 2.0 with some opponents car broken during a stage. We need Rally Evolved immersion in modern games, it wasn't the most realistic, but the content and the gameplay made it one of the best racing games of it's era and today i would love to see a remastered, it's a pity that this game is so unknown and underrated
Might not be the most realistic, but probably the most fun rally game ever made imo. Physics are pretty realistic though, my only complaint about the game is the few stages per rally and the somewhat twitchy controls when you reach higher speeds (over 100 km/h or 60mph). This and RBR are still the best and most fun rally games imo.
15 years since this game came out and I’ve yet to see anything like it. Like damn it can’t be that hard to have the following things: -Random obstacles on the road -Spectators with self preservation skills -Such an overall kick ass soundtrack -Variety in events and stages -Proper Finnish dub for the co-driver (Not neccessarily the most important thing but honestly, Finnish people basically live for rally so it’s kinda insulting in its own way to exclude them from a language option) -1-6 system pacenotes that rarely were wrong
Absolutely agree with you! Though I still remember that one left hand turn in a forest in one of the spanish rally stages where he said “4 left” when it really should have been a “caution narrow 3 left” but oh well, not everything can be perfect. 😂
I still play this on my PS2 slim. Every time I listen to that soundtrack I just know im going to have fun playing the most AMAZING rally game of all time!

2006 to 2009 WRC games are not produced in any game consoles so WRC 2010 to 2013, 2015 to 2017 and 2019 games are Produced by Milestones Gaming Productions
Until now, there is not a single game with a similar physical model of damage behavior. Although the hardware allows you to do this, they are simply idle.

Cmr 5 didnt have official cars and liveries and had alot of makeshift made up rally cars which never saw the stages.
