The table saw is an English made wadkin or similar and I had one I sold. As the bearings were worn out on the table so it was rough as. I planned to replace it but never did.
The smart carpenter builds his workbenches first so he’s not working on the floor. So many unsafe practices, I say this guy can play “rock, paper, scissors, table saw, by the end of the year! 😂😂😂

After being a former owner of a cabinet company with shops in three cities. And been in shops all over the world. And can tell you the working conditions in this shop are not that bad. And almost all woodworkers never install safety features unless they’re aware of an OSHA inspection or something. Because they get in the way slow down productivity and in some cases more dangerous than not using them. They key to not losing a finger is always paying attention to what you’re doing. I’ve only seen one person lose a thumb and that was on a Delta UniSaw with a blade guard. It flew up hit the ceiling then the floor then the shop dog grabbed it with his mouth and ran off with it. So it wasn’t able to be reattached 😂... So what I’m saying is you’re being unrealistic. In almost all cases it’s the workers who set up the conditions for their benefit and ease of operation . About the only thing I see I wouldn’t do is not wear shoes. They’re are most likely comfortable like that, but in my case I have shitty luck when it comes to stepping on nails and anything else harmful to feet, but that’s most likely because I don’t pay attention to where I’m walking or something. And I also wouldn’t want to take a chance of me dropping anything else on my feet. As for these guys, they have it pretty good compared to some shops I’ve been in Southeast Asia. It amazes me the quality of products these guys put out in these countries. Some using basically all hand tools. Sure worker safety is important, but libtardation should never be used in judging someone else somewhere else. Work is hard to find now due to soaring workers compensation insurance. Over regulation. In the United States over regulation is making it hard for construction companies in turn makes it hard for guys like these, there. Democrats big government regulating everyone out of jobs.
