Hello everybody, in this review of the hotel Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo I will give you a tour around the hotel, show you the rooms, restaurants and beaches and I will give you some important tipps for your stay. Have you been in the El Portillo as well? Let me know your thoughts!
We just came from El Portillo FEB. 07 2020 and it was wonderful. Hotel was very busy ( high season) food ,room, entertainement,cleanliness, ,everything was perfect
My wife and I are staying here for our honeymoon / 5th anniversary, it's our first holiday together since moving counties and the lock downs and I could not be more excited. Thanks for the wee tour :)
Many thanks for taking the time to do this, A Joey Story. I think my mind has settled on this resort for this fall. We have not gone away since November 2019, and it is quite exciting to think that we could get to go away this year
He estado hace 1 semana. Excelente en todos los sentidos, trato personal, gastronomía y seguridad hacia el turista. Reservamos las excursiones a traves del hotel y magnifica organización y protección hacia el turista. Un 10!!!!💕
I definitely recommend that people visiting this area visit the building on waterfall even though the horseback ride was a bit rough and scary at times going down the rocky steep trails. You can always go on foot but it’s definitely worth it swimming in the basin. It was refreshing and cool, also the side-by-side ride was a buggy blast. We visited two beaches and had a short lunch break as well as a local dish tasting experience on top of the hill.
I just came back from a seven day vacation at that hotel, and I must say it was pretty clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was also enjoyable and there wasn’t that much seaweed, which was great however, I would add as a note to improve the service at the main Buffay, by adding an extra toaster, as the lineups were fairly big in the morning at rush-hour, and an extra shift to make eggs and omelets as well, as for room service are made forgot towels one morning, but all in all we had good service

How can we make the other trips without spending a lot of money?
How do you do the tours on your own? I would like to zip line and go to the waterfall. Id like to save some money. Also do you know if there is deep sea fishing?

We are thinking about renting a van and exploring the area on our own. Do you have any advice?
I think it is a good idea. We always do that on all our vacations. But since we had our 4 year old boy we have been doing that with a taxi. But prior to having him we rent a nice car and go out on our own.

Too many People! No place, too noisy , bad level. This place is not at all à 5 stars but only one.
grosse anarque! Trop de monde partout, les plats sont vides, les comptoirs sont sales, les transats sont pris d'assaut, les gens sont énervés, les odeurs sont nauséabondes. Il faut attendre partout. La nourriture est dégueulasse.
