A replacement? How do you replace the irreplaceable? Three years later and I have yet to accomplish that. My husband has been able to move on and remarry. I have not. I think he's happy. At least I hope he is. I have not / am not looking. The bar is too high. I'm ok. It doesnt hurt as much ..... anymore. I prefer to go it alone the rest of the way. Kudos for not settling. As you say, it's not fair to a potential new partner ...nor you. You'll both end up being miserable. Nobody wants / needs more misery in their lives.
