Did We Buy a Blue Sprayer!?

We had the opportunity to try out a brand new New Holland Sprayer. A new sprayer is next on the list of equipment to buy so we were thankful for the opportunity to try this out.

I was a commercial applicator for 5 years so I obviously have my opinions on things haha but I would throw that raven out the window and get a green upfit kit for it for your guidance to go that route. I also really liked when I had an ag leader setup in a 4430 patriot but you would have communication issues being green yet again. I agree with one screen, I want the visibility. My last machine was an RG1300 Rogator and I dismantled the armrest to make my own mounting. I also had to run a raven viper pro which was like playing atari in a modern world. I'm not about that joystick either after being used to a standard hydro. And for me I still had the old school rogator hydro handle with all the controls on the sticks. I had 7 section on 120' and honestly didn't use them all that much but in 3 years I used my wing tilt rockers so much I wore out 3 sets of switches and two main handle boards as we didn't have auto height and it wouldn't have kept up in Eastern Nebraska terraces. I developed a special way to hold the joystick to be able to operate both booms simultaneously with one hand to walk the booms over terraces so to see all the new joysticks it makes me paranoid on losing those abilities.

I do feel like the technology in this sprayer is like taking 10 steps back compared to our green one. It’s amazing what you can come up with to get the job done.

Dont like the hydro forward or reverse selection

I ran the sprayer for a few days and couldn’t get used to it.

I've heard some guys moving the globe to the boom to help it track better

On mine it was steering angle sensor had a few issues with it.
