Bo please get a referral for your local food bank if your disability allowance is not enough to cover basic food. Your work coach fron UC, citizens advice or perhaps even student services at your college will be able to do the referral for you.

I'm not trying to belittle your advice but I just know from the experience of being disabled physically and mentally, going through another channel to get assistance can be extremely hard and draining when life is already a lot. Also considering their power is out, cost isn't the only issue for food since you need power to cook or keep food. Again, not trying to diminish your suggestion but it is important to consider someone's state and load.
@@sierrarobinson4447 those services are there to help in exactly this situation - please don't feel shame or anxiety about it. Most of the food banks provide food packages that are long life and do not require refrigeration and the people are so friendly. Any money saved on food can then go towards electric. There will be a lot of people in the same situation due to the energy crisis this winter. It would be one less thing to have to worry about. Please don't go hungry 💜
I've warned a vlogger about what she posted online (she bought a house) and I found out were she lived and I just had to tell her to be careful in what she post.

Bo, with the debt collectors, apparently they are not actually allowed to harass people who are classed as ‘vulnerable’, which people with disabilities are classed as. My carer found this out for me and sent the debt collectors who were bothering my partner and I (both disabled) a letter saying that we are classified as vulnerable under the law and could they therefore cease contacting us repeatedly. They don’t always listen, and it has to be in writing that you tell them I think, not just over the phone, but it’s probably worth you trying to do the same.

some people can't help observing things, and this person sounded like they were noticing too many tells, so they wanted to check if the information you had displayed could lead to someone finding you - i dont think they did that for any other reason than to test whether or not you'd left a security hazard wide open. Oh no that email took a very creepy turn. I've messaged creators to tell them they accidentally exposed something with their address or personal information but my gawd I would never use the information myself. And if I ever recognize a place in someone's video I don't mention the location in any comment because the last thing I want to do is point it out to any creepers. Keep that email saved in case you ever need to use it as evidence. I don't want to stress you out by saying that but I've worked with victims of crime and domestic violence so I always advise you save creepy communication.
I wonder if you could get someone to donate a rechargeable heating pad for you to use even when your power is out. You can charge it at a café or anywhere you can access where you can charge your phone as well. That way at least your back can have some heat to lessen the pain a bit.

The person that reached out isn't going to warn you and then come and find you. They are trying to be helpful. It's all of the people that *aren't* going to tell you that are dangerous.
How would you have liked your viewer to warn you of the danger that you were putting yourself in? (Or should they just say nothing? I would prefer kind people to offer help than stay silent and just say "I knew it" after the fact.) Few people are going to hurt you, and I feel that it is up to us to look out for each other.
Saying "Hey, people might be able to find you. be careful" isn't the same thing as "Hey I did all these things and now know where you live. alert alert" the 2nd is scary as crap.

As for the guy who literally went through all the steps to find your complex (and I'm guessing told you its name and everything): Fucking ew. All he had to do was say "hey, I noticed some landmarks while you were driving and am concerned people can try to find where you live" like. That just sounds like it was such a terrifying email to recieve idk why they thought it best to give you a step to step guide on how they decided to creep and find your home. I am a very anxious individual and did think about how some creep could do that if there were any signs (I've seen it happen before but with youtubers who just straight up had a dash cam and showed every street they look while going out) but I obviously wasn't creepily looking for them and thought none were shown. Just..... ew.

Not being aware of the harms way you put yourself in by your choices is not a more comfortable position than knowing what something could lead to. You obviously needed someone to make you aware before something actually bad happened. I hope you do heed their advice, it's valuable! Most people do take precautions online, it's not unusual it's actually protocol for personal safety, which is your responsibility!
