  • DIY BOSCH DRYER belt replacement
    CLASSIXX7 MODEL
You can save 750 USD If you can still fix your dryer by simply replacing the defective parts.
In this video I have successfully fixed my dryer by buying the replacement belt below:
    www.ebay.co.uk...
Please be reminded that this task is not easy, even with electronics background I still had some difficulties due to excessive bending reaching those locks, screws and tools(maturing is catching up -lolz)
I recommend you to have someone to assist you on this task, ensuring all the safety procedures at all times. But it was worth repairing instead of buying a brand new one. With this fixture I estimated to use the dryer for another 1 to 3 years more.

Thanks. Left thread on the blower fan. Glad I saw that.
I just unscrewed the back side, loosened the drain tubes and was able to lift the tumbler that way.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This will make more easier next time we need to go over the same fixture. Cheers

Thanks for your comment. Most mechanical units nowadays are using belts as such like cars and other appliances. Most belts life span is between 3 to 5 years depending on how often you use the unit. I anticipated that the issue was the belt since the electronics and motor seems to be Ok. I had to open to verify, found out that the belt are totally worn out and I had to replace it.

I actually found when I’d unscrewed the face plates, I was about to sufficiently move the drum out of the way to slip the belt round

But my, that is not a job for the faint hearted. You basically have to take apart and rebuild the dryer

The front should come off not the back !

So you can fix this by just removing the back panel? I have mine fully open right now and struggling to make space to slip this belt in. Please let me know if it's possible just by removing the back?

@johl83 you can make space and slip the belt from the front drum.
