I've been knocked-out on 3 separate occasions, and all of them were blindsides. It's not painful at all, but it can be strange. (After the fact, it can be painful.) You either black-out, completely, (which isn't strange) or, you become this VAGUE awareness. Your eyesight still works (relatively well) but you have ZERO control over your mind or body. Someone could offer you a briefcase full of 100$ bills, and you would just drool on it. Imagine the consciousness of a fruit-fly (with a human's eyesight lol.)

If you DO see it coming, you can brace and prepare for impact by moving away from the strike. Jones AND Hopkins are a little diff in each way. Jones Def may have been untouchable for years after actually losing to Tarver if he simply stayed at his normal weight. Most people crediting his weight gain to Heavyweight then returning to a lower weight again for Tarver and his loss. They would talk about how doing that changes your speed and reflexes, which is interesting.
And Hopkins, your Def right on that. He was like Floyd, infamous for training like a madman and having that champion mentality. A shame how he went out but remember when he was doing push ups in between rounds in one of his last fights? Man that was amazing
That's the mentality that makes me a fan of certain fighters, like Khabib in UFC. That he trains harder than anyone else fighters say. That he is a Floyd type where the belt isn't rhe end. His work ethic is caused by the desire to be totally undefeated and a long reign as the champion.

Israel is actually leaner here than he is in the UFC. I think he put on mass to be able to competitively grapple with guys and he has more power now because of it than he did here (also because of glove size difference).

I've been knocked-out on 3 separate occasions, and all of them were blindsides. It's not painful at all, but it can be strange. (After the fact, it can be painful.)
You either black-out, completely, (which isn't strange) or, you become this VAGUE awareness. Your eyesight still works (relatively well) but you have ZERO control over your mind or body. Someone could offer you a briefcase full of 100$ bills, and you would just drool on it.

Lol from all the fights its clear that Pereira's biggest weakness is a high right hook. He just doesn't seem to keep his guard up and in this fight you can see when Izzy almost KOs him he hits with multiple right hooks none of which were blocked.
