true. At Cape Horn, 1st boat = foils, no problems reported. Second boat = foil, port foil snapped off on impact with a UFO (could have ended badly for Hugo Boss). Third boat = modified old boat with foils: has water pooring in via one of the two foil slots. 4th boat: foils, no foil problems reported. Very last boat: foils (autopilot problems) Two foilers among the boats that abandoned. I admit being surprised by the fact that 5 of the 7 or still in the race. The fact that they're in front, well, new boats always do well and they're often skippered by experienced people.

time for a little bet... 0 foil boats at the finish of the Vendee.
+VUO4E Haha yeah considering that they performed so badly at the Transat Jaques Vabre, they'll break down in the bay of biscay for sure
+VUO4E Did you win ?
tincoffin I'll let you know in about a year or a bit less. Vendee starts november 6
