Try has better standout moments, I think.Singular instances of hype and badassery. And, arguably a better soundtrack and Gunpla designs, since Try was allowed to be more original. The first season is a better all-around story and character development, and that counts more.
Build Fighters was made with a amazing history to increase people interest in gunplas Build Fighters Try was made only to sell new gunpla models and kits, that's why the history is poor, but we have amazing custom units
my personal favorite gundam was (i think) only from the gundam capsule fighter game. it was like this other gundam that fought unarmed except it was gold and had a halo floating behind it. I think it was called God Gundam or something like that. I got it by sheer luck and I entered an arena where people were all using Zaku II's except for one where it was the god gundam except not that. a brawler. the zaku's all used guns. I had two of the gunners on my team and they were providing covering fire as i was brawling with the other gundam and i beat him down. he then proceeded to be like "holy shit,how did you beat me,we had the same gundam! Yours is just yellow!" and i replied with "I pilot the God of all Gundam's,now bow down before me.." and tore his gunners to pieces. EDIT: i also won because it had special abilities,a strength boost and higher health and armor. basically,all those shots from the Zaku II's were like airsoft bullets hitting metal. The only time I lost in that thing was when i got too cocky or i fought another person in the god gundam as i wasn't able to adjust to their attacks.
Drakkoniac Banderfield God Gundam is known as Burning Gundam in the American dub of G Gundam. It's the gundam that was the basis for Sekai's Try Burning, and why there's so many G Gundam references in Try Fighters.
