    • @lucozadeja.3331
      @lucozadeja.3331 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is the problem, she didn't mention the areas at all. When it comes to real estate location determines price as well as a host of other factors. The 50K rent included electricity water and internet. There's *likely* parking space for the tenant, access to the yard, use of the laundry facilities, clothesline and the trees.
      The third home for sale is not a "house" but an apartment in Havendale. I suspect the first two or at least one is also in Havendale. Havendale Roehampton and Meadowbrook homes are usually on one-fifth of an acre of land. There are also many elderly owners living in these and similarly priced neighbourhoods (in st.andrew/Kingston ) their children either live abroad or elsewhere on the island. What happens is when these owners pass away, the children sell the properties and then soon thereafter you see a set of apartments going up (too frequently crime as well). These properties are very attractive to builders, large size, "safe neighbourhood", near to commercial area etc etc. So they buy a what is single family home with a "half/small side" usally, for 25 million plus and then demolish it, build apartments and sell those apartment for 25 million.
      The property with the 28 million apartment(s) used to be a single family home with a pool, it is on a corner lot.
      Renting a "Half side or small side" in Havendale/Meadowbrook/Roehampton will run you 45000 to 80000 depending on upgrades and size. To rent an apartment in the property she viewed will likely be 80,000, nearer to 11000 upwards.

Not to mention after 3 months or so I got burnt out & had to take 2 months off from looking. Ps. The house with the dark brown cabinets looks nice & fits you Lol. Good luck, stay choosy & make your best choice in your investment of a new home. Don’t let the realtor talk you into purchasing a house you don’t feel comfortable buying. When buying a home, your the boss of the purchase and don’t ever forget this. ✅

      With all due respect, your country should probably fix the Water, and the Roads first. As to housing... Well isn't that just down to purchasing a vacant lot somewhere, and then placing something on top of it? But, I doubt I was the first one to think of that. When I consider how many empty unfinished shells of houses litter the interior villages on the island.

    • @quietstorm1050

      @@Ichijoe2112 Some of those unfinished homes that you see? Are people building gradually over time. A lot of people on the island live mortgage free because of this choice. I know it seems like an eye sore but a lot of those are owned by people building as they are able to afford building materials and to pay the workmen.

The average middle classed wages in Jamaica doesn't support the cost of these homes.
