This Vlog contains my experience of obtaining Dubai Visa on Arrival (VOA) while flying from Muscat Oman to Dubai Airport Terminal 2)
I am an Indian Passport Holder having a valid USA Visa which entitles me to get VOA at Dubai airport:
Documents required:
1. Indian Passport (with 6 month validity)
2. Return / onward journey Airlines Ticket
3. Insurance with Covid19 coverage
4. Valid USA Visa page (stamped on your passport)
Reach 30 minutes earlier to the Airlines check in counter and inform them, few airlines like FLY DUBAI doesn't take any time and will issue you the boarding pass instantly.

Indian passport holders with a USA Green Card or residence visa from the UK or the European Union must apply for an online pre-approved visa-on-arrival to enter the UAE.
The new regulation has been announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs in Dubai and allows a stay of 14 days. An extension of 14 days can be provided one time.
Before this, Indian travellers who were eligible could obtain a visa on arrival at UAE airports. However, this new regulation now requires eligible Indian travellers to apply online first through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) website: www.gdrfad.gov...
Online Application Process:
Visit the GDFRA Website: Create your login for the application portal - smart.gdrfa.go...
Log in and Apply: Enter the required personal details in the form, attach the required documents, pay the fees (253 Dirham) and submit the application
The processing time for approval is 48 hours
When the visa has been approved, it will be sent to your registered email.
Documents Required:
A valid passport with a validity of no less than 6 months
Permanent residency card or visa issued by the USA, or a residence visa issued by the UK or the European Union with a validity of no less than 6 months
Personal photo with a white background
Please note that the GDFRA ultimately decides to approve or reject the visa application.

Hi, as on May 2024, there are some changes in the visa on arrival process:
Indian passport holders with a USA Green Card or residence visa from the UK or the European Union must apply for an online pre-approved visa-on-arrival to enter the UAE.

Well not sure about debit card but i believe it should be acceptable because I paid by credit card
Guys as on Jan 2023, the visa on Arrival fee has been revised from 121 UAE dirham to 141 UAE dirham

Hi Aditya, thank you for sharing the information. I’ve a valid B1/B2 visa for USA. I’m planning to travel to Dubai for 13 days. My question is whether I require insurance, and if yes, which one should I get (I’ll be traveling via Turkish airline from Ireland with a layover of about 90 mins at Istanbul). I am quite spectacle if I should apply for the visa beforehand in case of any trouble?
Insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended even it is for a small sum insured amount of $10000. With valid b1/b2 usa visa voa is guaranteed, but Turkish airlines has a history of creating issues so to be on the safer side, please write to the airlines and keep a copy of that mail as a proof so that they can't find any excuses. But voa is definitely possible for Indian passport holders with valid USA visa

Hey! Just a small question. Do we need to take any other documents apart from our passport with the valid US visa? Any kind of photographs or any photocopies of any kind of documents to attach with the form they give to fill up?
No. nothing else is asked ..carry insurance if you wish for it
Can we also get sim cards like folks entering on tourist visa? If yes, what is the validity of such sim cards?
Yes on the immigration counter you can get a free sim with a very limited data and you will have to go out and recharge it for higher amount. But i have never used this sim so can't say with certainty if it works effectively..better option is to buy a new sim at the arrival hall once you come out of the airport. You have many telecom operators from where u can purchase the sim

Cards are accepted. Cash is accepted only in aed 141 uae dirham

The requirements for ECR is mainly at the Indian airport who have to allow you to board the flight for dubai ..if you have boarded the flight to dubai then in a valid USA visa VOA is possible at Dubai

Only card accepted (both debit or credit), for cash only uae dirham are accepted

Hi, this is a unique case I am coming across first time, not sure of the restrictions and law. You can directly write to marhabba service in Dubai to get a clarification in this regard. But if you have already tried getting normal visa of Dubai and it has been declined due to the reasons of having a single name then in case of VOA also it will be the same case.

Your question is not clear, but i assume you are asking if the usa visa has been used in usa or not for availing this VOA facility in UAE. So the answer is no its not mandatory to be used or stamped in USA..but please make sure it is a valid usa visa for at least next 3 month when you arrive in uae

Usually cards but cash be managed, I have always used cards

How about by road from saudi we can get arrvial visa for usa visit visa right
Frankly I have never travelled from Saudi tonuae but yes from Oman to UAE we can get visa on arrival at the borders so I assume it should be allowed from Saudi as well

Yes u are eligible. The airlines will check the validity during the checkin process and if the visa is valid antill next 3 months then they will allow boarding

@@surajcs hi effective May 2024 they have done some changes in the visa in arrival process. Pls make sure your USA visit is valid for next montha from the dt of entry, a valid return or onward flight ticket and confirmed hotel reservations..rest all process is same

Yes this (USA visa) is enough to get VOA at Dubai..just contact the marhabba counter to fill the form and get VOA by paying 141 uae dirham..then proceed to the immigration counter who will stamp your passport

As far asbi know, the answer is no. Indian nationals can no longer get a visa on arrival at Muscat International Airport in Oman.

I understand L1 blanket visa is a form of employment visa for USA so yes you will be eligible to take VOA in UAE using it. Just ensure its valid at least a month from the date of your arrival in UAE

Hi, I have a flight to Dubai via air India and then another flight from Dubai to Dallas via emirates. I have a layover of 4h 25min at Dubai and need to travel from terminal 1 to 3 and I need to check in again at Dubai airport. Do I need a transit visa for that?? Is there any way to avail baggage transfer service? Please help.
Please contact the marhabba counter to check if they can transfer the baggage internally..but the concern here is internal transfer from terminal 1 to 3. I am not very sure if you can take a transfer internally and yes you may have to take a transit visa since you are traveling from two different airlines and from 2 different terminals

In May 2023, i got visa on arrival in Dubai with L1 USA visa. My wife and kid had L2 visas so donot think visa type matter as long as it is not a transit visa and both passports and visas have a validity of atleast 6 months. Though we had travel insurance, nobody asked for it so it does not look like a mandatory requirement however requirements can change at any time so better to confirm/enquire when you travel

No.. you only get the entry stamp on your stamp and that page is kept by the immigration officer

No they usually don't ask but in my opinion and experience of visiting so many VOA countries, it's better to have it as on the immigration counter such things can be asked.. although in my past travel to Dubai with voa they have not asked for it but still I will highly recommend for it

No...you will have to take visa for him separately. Voa is only allowed if you have a valid USA visa

Any form of USA visa which is valid at least for 1 month can be used to obtain voa (tourist, business, student etc). Mode of payment is through debit credit or local uae currency (141 dirham)

I'm not very sure it can be extended like that and you may to go through the normal process of obtaining another visa (either tourist visa or visitor visa) through any of the travel agents in the city..Best is that you ask at the marhabba counter about this extension when you are taking your VOA
What insurance we need to have for VOA?
Insurance is recommended but not mandatory. You can take any overseas travel insurance policy from the departure / home country from where you are starting your journey to Dubai
How you got the insurance?
You can get it from any local insurance company from where you are traveling, like if you are traveling from India then you have the options of tata aif, ICICI Lombard, HDFC ergo. They all sell travel insurance andby can buy it online
Hi. will L1 Blanket visa helps me on arrival visa?
I'm not 100% sure about this but no such conditions was highlighted while checking my b1/b2 visa at Dubai airport. I understand that they allow green card holders to take visa on Arrival so there shouldn't be any problem with L1 blanket visa as it's a form of work visa

However, please note that there some recent changes introduced by the UAE govt for this facility. Some additional requirements are a bank balance of INR 60000 and a minimum amount of cash you need to carry along with the proof of onward or return journey. @@nallavan_2527 usually you are entitled for a transit visa..check from the airlines, there are some schemes for a complimentary transit visa. Else you can apply for visa on arrival upon reaching therel by filling the form at the marhabba counter and paying approx 250 UAE dirham. Please ensure a confirmed onward ticket and confirmed hotel reservation is there with you to avail voa
