The objective of Operation gibralter was to capture kashmir but when indian attacked lahore the objectives changed now the objective was to defend whole of pak and pak army achieved that objective and took that war into the indian area hence pak army won that war bcz they were successful in defending pak

In 1962, China had stabbed India in the back and India suffered very heavily. So, General thought that since India is weak so best time to grab kashmir by force. So Pakistan attacked all of sudden in Kashmir and in retaliation India opened borders of Pakistan and reached till Ichhogil canal. When Pakistan was loosing its land area to India, then USSR played a major role and forces of both sides were withdrawn to original positions. Pakistan captured over 250 sq miles in Kashmir while India captured over 700 sq. miles in west Pakistan. True Pakistani public has no correct information.

first of all indian army never reached lahore they onlly reached to dograi near BRB canal and burki is like 22 kilometers away from lahore and it was a small town at that time and pakistani armed forces recaptured burki and PAF attacked Pathankot adampur halwara jamnagar airbases and inflicted heavey causaulities on IAF. and on kasur sector pak armed forces reached khem kharan and on kashmir sector they crossed river tavi and they captured chamb and on tharparkar sector pak army captured kishangarh tanot. The objective of Operation gibralter was to capture kashmir but when indian attacked lahore the objectives changed now the objective was to defend whole of pak and pak army achieved that objective and took that war into the indian area hence pak army won that war bcz they were successful in defending pak

In 1962, China had stabbed India in the back and India suffered very heavily. So, General thought that since India is weak so best time to grab kashmir by force. So Pakistan attacked all of sudden in Kashmir and in retaliation India opened borders of Pakistan and reached till Ichhogil canal. When Pakistan was loosing its land area to India, then USSR played a major role and forces of both sides were withdrawn to original positions. Pakistan captured over 250 sq miles in Kashmir while India captured over 700 sq. miles in west Pakistan. True Pakistani public has no correct information.
