This how I DIY all my disc planners - find a spiral with notepaper and/or a cover I love, uncoil, punch, add! I have the bigger Levenger disc punch and always use the cover as a template to get the exact place for punch. And if I happen to mess it up, I cut the "kadoobies," as they are apparently called, off the edge and punch on the paper once I get the right spacing to use. Most books leave enough in the margin to do that if you mess up.
Wow that's a lot of work for all your disc planners, you go girl! I guess if you find a coiled one you love, then it's totally worth it! I think this was my first and last time doing it haha!
I applaud your perseverance. At first , I thought about doing the same but that is More energy than I have right now. But I will keep it in mind for when I’m on holiday. Be blessed.
Now I remember why I deconstructed my planner. I saw this video. Thanks for this idea. I use it as my fitness journal/planner. I HAD TO take it off the coil to add ALL the note paper I needed to add. It functions so much better as a half letter/junior planner. If you want a clear cover set, shop on Etsy at Discbound Marketplace. Amazing price for the covers.
Yay! I’m glad my troubles will save you some! It will be a lot easier if you just cut all the slits and use a bunch of discs with the original cover. The hardest part for me was trying to use the tul stuff!
Thanks for doing this! I am typically a disc girl myself but was going to try and use mine on the coil to try it out. But I'll know what I can do now if I get to February and can't handle the coil 😊
Happy to help if I can!! If you decide to make the swap, it will be much easier if you want to keep the original glass cover, so hopefully this didn’t scare you too much! What made mine overly complicated was the half letter tul stuff I wanted to use! But moving to discs and leaving the size all the same would be no problem!
Thank you so much for this! I mess up too and it is nice to have the transparency of an established planner channel that experiences these things as well!!! Wonderful video!
You're welcome, and thank you for the feedback! Yeah girl I make mistakes ALL the time! Glad that those mistakes can be of help to others along the way!
Bravo! Yes A5 is wider and shorter than half letter. I saw others doing the washi hack and thought wow that’s a lot of work. I just left mine intact and decided to use it as my personal finance calendar and spending log. I have a small disc bound that holds the rest of my finance inserts. I am wondering if C&P should just include the pages unpunched. Although the weight feels lighter than what their loose inserts are and perhaps doesn’t have the wow factor of seeing a bound planner in the box.
I totally missed the fact that it was A5...I SO wish I had paid more attention rather than jumping in 🤦🏻♀️♥️ Does the tightness of the coil/paper bother you?
Super impressive! I got this as a part of my November description, and I wanted to change out of the coils so that I could use the dashboards. Not sure if I’m as brave as you to convert mine over to discs, but I do believe that I’ll shift to a binder. Thanks so much for showing us your error and correction!
Thank you soooo much!!! I have a bunch of older calendars my husband got for free. There Filofax and I’m wanting disc and was curious if it would work. You’ve saved me time 😊. I know what I need to do. Thank you 💐
Those are great ideas! In this case I didn't punch the entire coiled edge off because I didn't want to cut off the lines of the layout. And I started down the path of laying washi on every page but it was so much work and would have made the planner a lot thicker down the spine. Do what works for you though! :)
These tips are INVALUABLE because I’m going to be taking in this project too! 1000% worth it!
good luck!! let me know if you opt to cover with washi and repunch or cut!

I also like to washi the month title pages and dividers for some flair.

Thank you for jumping ahead. I must say that my anxiety was about to blow. However, you saved the day by March, lol.
You and me both, friend 😂♥️
I applaud your perseverance. At first , I thought about doing the same but that is More energy than I have right now. But I will keep it in mind for when I’m on holiday. Be blessed.
Haha, thank you Yvette! Perseverance indeed! Blessings on your holiday season! Do something crafty :)
Thank you for the honesty; it is so refreshing. :)
Thank you Katia 🥰🥰

You got it! Glad it worked out for you 🤗 I’ll check them out!
@@thejoyfulsojourn I hope you enjoy them. The shop offers multiple colors too.
Well now I know what I am going to do with my sub box planner. Sorry for all the frustration but thanks for the tips!

Beautiful job it looks awesome !!! I actually put mine into my 6 ring binder 😎
Glad I wasn’t the only one to make a transition! I loved the aesthetic of the planner in its original form but I just couldn’t handle the coil!

Thank you for this video. I was thinking of uncoiling my C&P planner as well. I really appreciate you including all of your learning process.
Hi Stacey, you're so welcome! Glad it was helpful! There are many things I'd do differently, and now you can do it and do it well! :)
Love the way the cut edge "design" turned out!!
A happy accident!!

You got it! It was a messy process and could have edited more out but thought ya'll should be aware, haha!! Blessings on your migration to a binder!

You’re welcome! I’m glad my trial and error gave you ideas for reusing your planner pages!!
I did this with the spiral planner I got in the sun box last year. I had trial and error as well. Your planner is very nice. Great job!
Thanks Brenda! Great minds think alike :)
It looks great. Good video.
Thank you!
Very cool idea. Great job!
Thanks girl! 🥰
Thank you for share this. Is nice that at the end you get it and you like how it works.🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for watching Juriena!
Thanks for showing the real process!
You got it! Good luck! If you try it, hopefully my mistakes are of good help to you :)
Love this! Thanks for the walkthrough. We know this will work going forward.
My mistakes, for your convenience :)
You're an angel, i have some inserts that i love but the holes did not fit in my favourite plannner, thank you for the washi tape idea
Thank you for sharing!!! 😍😍😍
Absolutely!! Hope it’s helpful! 🤗
Thank you for sharing your videos
Thank you for showing this! Such a great idea!
Thanks Shannon! De-coil away! :)
I was VERY surprised that you are slitting the pages first
I know this is old video but my question is , is it a A5 or half letter size? I wanted to add pocket inserts don't know what is actual size to buy.
Junior/half letter!
I would have just cut the edge and recut with tul puncher...or washi each page and repunch

Did this planner/notebook work well for you in the end?
It did not! It ended up going by the wayside 😞
Thanks for making all the errors for us!
Haha, you got it!!
