What a meaningful visit with your family. So insightful to realize that life moves on even when you’re not there. It’s a strange feeling when we return to places we once lived and people we knew well then…family and friends who have changed too. Keeping the relationship ties with visits, correspondence and “basic” times together help fuel the heart fires that warm us all. Your upcoming wedding sounds lovely! You appreciate life, and live fully, and dear Jean is the same. ❤🎉

Your winery tour in Niagara Falls will be interesting as we love Niagara when we visit my sister. My sister has been to a few in Toronto which I cannot remember the name and she loves it. I agree going to the Mall is good because I feel your malls are much better than ours here in UK

I'm very excited for your upcoming video on hotels-- I'll be traveling to Paris in 2025, so I've got lots of planning to do! I'm sure all your vids will be a huge help to me!
I also wanted to echo the person who said thanks for sharing your family. As someone whose family-of-origin isn't stellar, it's always heartwarming to me to see someone with a family like yours! They all seem like truly wonderful people; very fun to be around! I also think it'll go a long way to keep your content from being chained to Paris content. I can understand not wanting to be pigeon-holed!! 😊

Arielle, as someone has written, we watch because we enjoy spending time with you and hearing about your life. A suggestion: You don't need to apologize all the time. We wouldn't be here if we didn't like you just as you are. I don't come here to see a "presenter" but rather a lovely young woman sharing her life. I love how close you and your family are. Unfortunately, not all of us have such loving circumstances. It is good that you have been traveling around because, in all honesty, once you are married and/or raising a family, mobility is an issue unless one or both of you is independently wealthy. We live where our work is (Jean) and if we're lucky, we can choose a place we can afford that also has decent schools. That's not always easy and not always affordable. Everything, everywhere all the time today is way more money than the average person is earning. Have you considered saving, when possible, to purchase land/property in greece to use as your base for multiple trips a year? You could rent it out when you are not there (and hire your local friends to maintain it when rented) and help offset costs that way? I love that you are continuing to follow up on your strong connection with Greece. I think you said how at home you feel and that is a beautiful thing. Hopefully, with planning and his agreement, Jean's work/career can be more "portable" and flexible. My beloved primary care doctor got married this summer to her husband, who works in Paris. She, personally does not love Paris, and they have been trying to get him a visa to come to the US (So far no luck for ridiculous reasons). Their fallback is to live in London (I'm hoping not. I will miss her terribly. Took me years to find someone as good as her.) Work is a major consideration for both people in a couple and it takes planning, especially as you are not an EU citizen and I don't know how freely you can move about.Follow your heart and PLAN. Our dreams are realized when we plan and take action. Au Bientot

There is something to be said for city living, but yeah......when you realize that there really is a difference between a "city" and a "town", it can change your perspective a lot.

When I went to Paris, I picked up items (salad stuff, sandwich items) from the grocery store and the occasional sweets from the patisserie. I splurged on one dinner.

Paris has been losing population during the last 10 years. We have wealthy friends who decently sized places in Paris and in a lot of ways, our life in the suburb is actually better. Having lived in houses my whole life, you've got to consider the additional time and money managing all the stuff and cleaning the larger surface area. It's hard enough with two jobs and a kid in an apartment and I can't imagine having to clean and manage a house while trying to stay healthy and get enough sleep.
I felt like home ownership in the US was way overrated and part of a narrative that we've been programmed to have for mostly business and government interests. Property taxes, plumbing, heating systems, time... it all adds up when you have so little time, especially once you have kids.

10:32 Feeling "left out"/"excluded" from the convos with or about your Canadian friends and family whenever you get back together, is a disagreeable yet hard fact-of-life, Dear Arielle : For, Every time, you'll unfortunately only be VISITING all your 'homies' from now on, I'm sorry to say.
And, I know -- I still can remember it well -- how discombobulating, strange, unfair, even hurtful at times, it can feel. I COULD also be as abrupt as to tell you that it's merely a piece of the inexorable adulting every Earthling has to deal with ... And, even tell you to "just suck-it-up, girl", yk, "bc c'est-la-vie and so on, bla-bla".
BUT, instead, I'm going to commiserate with you and tell you that I totally understand and agree with you there : Distance begets distance. Or, geographical distance generates loads of uncomfortable social 'distancing', and can sometimes, if left undealt with, cause, create even bigger riffs in relationships.
    Cheers 🥂, TakeCare, jb 2024-09-08

Oh I will absolutely never be able to afford anything in Toronto 😂 I think when we buy a house it will be in the countryside somewhere remote….. honestly the housing market in Toronto and Canada in general is unhinged

Again, I agree with you about Taylor Swift, it's clear this isn't about pleasing or doing the best for her fans, it's entirely about lining her already bloated pocket. I love her music, but she absolutely deserves certain criticisms to be levelled at her. Not only is it fair to critique behaviour that directly affects you, as a fan, but it is important and valuable.
