Unboxing & Review of JoyToy x Warhammer 40K Primaris Space Marine Black Templars Marshal

- Ahhh, the Black Templars. The successor chapter that is greater than the progenitor chapter. Anyway, we are going to be reviewing the 2nd action figure from JT of the Black Templars which is the highly anticipated Marshal. Let's hope this figure amounts to all the hype that is behind it! As usual, we will be using our painter's eye to scrutinize the painting on this figure and then we will move on to swapping out parts and other fun stuff.

Yea, for what a have read in the new Sigismund novel, the chain idea came from him by experiencing figthing whit Karn of the world eaters in the pits. This figure sure does credit to the price tag. Its awesome.

Ah Black Templars and the Marshall specifically are such long awaited releases - nothing better than smashing the enemies of the Imperium with fanatic zeal, in the Emperor's name! The chains of zeal represent the BTs' relentless spirit in never giving up the fight and always have arms with them - not very practical but (as many things in W40K) a lot of cool symbolism, at least for dystopian universe like Warhammer 40k.
I still can't stop looking at the skeleton-loaded backpack that is probably annoying the Marshal in any batlte with trollish comments XD
Thanks for letting me know the true meaning of the chains. Despite my knowledge on WH40K, I still learn something from you and everyone else and that's the beauty of the WH40K universe. There is SO much lore and background it is GLORIOUS.
7:16 - "The 'Chain of Zeal' is a Devotion Chain of the Black Templars. It secures the Marine's weapon and armour with a permanent weld that lasts as long as he serves. Because taking off a gauntlet with the chain still attached is a shameful act that entails great dishonour, the wearer of the 'Chain of Zeal' must keep his armoured glove donned and weapon in hand every minute for the rest of his days.
Should the chain and weapon be forcibly removed, they can only be re-affixed through a ceremony performed by a Black Templars Chaplain."

and this is actually a habbit that Sigismund copied from Kharn while they sparred in the fighting pits....shows what good khorne disciples the templars actually are lol
Last i knew,that rule only applies to the Emperors champion. Gw must have changed it ,lame. It was a special rule for a special character. Not every templar is chained.
Also mister knowledge, the chain ONLY stays on until the battle or war is over. Get the facts straight dude.
Been reading,playing,painting,and eating 40k since 1997.
Tell me im wrong and the new books will prove you right . Lame changes to lore dont always make sense.
The original lore was only the emperors champion had his weapon chained. Why!? Because he is the only one who has the Black Sword. Emperor relic.

I got mine for 25 and I love it, but they gave me a duplicate left fist instead of a right one.
Is his Tabard 1 pc from chest to legs? Which hinders its articulation in the torso?

I just got Marshal plus champ and bretherens, so far I love them a lot! I have no issue with Marshal except his weird (ugly even) eye brow, I am just going to repaint it over.

I was a bit disappointed with the quality of this figure, the belt attached crookedly, and the top part of feet joints tightly blocked
the vinyl cape smell will give you a freaking head ache and shoulder pauldron attachment is bad (need to return to V1 shoulder pauldron attachment)
@@michaelfranzgarcia7769 it is already better than the previous v2 figures, sword brothers shoulders have a good range of motion

@@michaelfranzgarcia7769 that smell is not what you say. That smell is the scent of the Emperors glory. Inhale it deeply, let it purge the heretic out of you, let the plastic smell remind you there is NO hiding from the Emperors wrath.

Haha I like your attitude! I mean these are in the end plastic toys so they are going to come with a smell with them. When you display them, that smell well dissipate over time (as you all know).
