I moved with my wife and family from South Africa to the USA in 1998, and I've been living in Florida for the past 25 years. Now, for a lot of good reasons, I'm ready to move out. I have always had a feeling that the north eastern USA, and especially Maine and Massachusetts, was where we should have moved to from the start. The culture is more compatible with my British heritage, and the sense of permanence, class, dedication to and taking pride in quality work, respect for one another and our natural world, and people who one can have a fun conversation with, even about potentially sensitive topics, without anyone getting 'bent out of shape', are just some of the reasons why. That, and the fact that I will soon be on the lookout for a cruising sailboat to buy, and I want to be where wooden sailboats are still cherished. Yes, I know, wooden boats. But what can one do, when one enjoys working with one's hands, and is in love with the idea of restoring a classic old Lady of the Seas? Why am I telling you all of this, after watching your company employment video? Because to me, all the values that I just mentioned above, are perfectly reflected in your video, and clearly, in your company. What a great presentation you put together here. If I was a younger man with some years still to 'spare', I would be taking a serious look at submitting my application. But I'd best be sticking to my Game Plan, unfortunately.
