19:30 - fyi geosynchronous is at a given altitude due to basic orbital mechanics - which dictate that the rate you pass over the surface of the earth has a precise relationship to your altitude (unless you want to burn massive amounts of fuel) . If you want to match Earth’s rotation and ‘hover’ over one spot (sort of - it’s more like you hover over one longitude) you have to be at ~22,200 miles…any higher and you’ll ‘fall behind’ the spot you’re observing. Any lower and you’ll start speeding ahead…thought you’d want to know.
PS - Love this series!
Can I trouble you for the source of the charts around 31:30; the ones that detail the timeline of a Soviet attack and US response times?
This was amazing. Well done.
