Nice video showing so many comparisons. We have chickens, ducks and guineas on our little farm and try to explain the difference to people so this is great. Thanks! We actually really like hard boiled duck eggs better than chicken eggs since the yolks are so much creamier and have more flavor. We accidentally overcooked one batch and they were still good and even the yolk was not dry like sometimes happens with chicken eggs when overcooked.

Just paid $8 for a HALF dozen of duck eggs at Whole Foods (SoCal). I've never seen them on the shelf before... never knew it was a thing... just had to give them a shot! Lol... this was the first video I found to bring me up to speed. Well done, and very much appreciated.
Fantastic video. I raise chickens and geese and hope to add ducks. Goose eggs are like an even richer duck egg and yes the whites can be “different “ with under and overcooking!

I eat about 6 chicken egg yolks every day, sometimes up to 10 (no, not at all concerned about this high number, I am following a Carnivore diet predominantly with just herbs n spices mostly, meat and cheeses and lab's are all perfect!). I'm not able to tolerate chicken egg whites and recently heard about the idea to try duck eggs.. I've never tried duck eggs before and I'm excited to do so. I just need to find some now 🌞 Thanks for this helpful video! Subscribed🐨 I will check your video's, not sure if you have one about it already, but I'd love to know how long you cooked your eggs and your egg cooking techniques and idea's! So great, thank you 🌞
My gf just brought me a ton of big ole duck eggs! I just watched this video to learn about them and was very helpful! But I did not like them scrambled at alll! They tasted soooo different ! But loved them fried and I can’t wait to bake with them !!!! Video was very helpful!
I always wondered!! I know of someone who is allergic to duck eggs, but not chicken eggs. I can REALLY see that people allergic to chicken eggs, might possibly be able to eat duck eggs!! That would be amazing for them and their family!!!!!

My ducklings just hatched over the weekend.. can’t wait to try my chickens eggs vs ducks eggs in the next several months. And I have heard also bakers prefer ducks eggs over chickens.
duck eggs seem to be the same cost here in Florida maybe even cheaper. I imagine that people shy away from them simply because they have never tried them and food is so costly that they are afraid of wasting money on something that they ultimately don't like.
in victoria bc, there are small hobby farms all over. you can buy duck eggs, free range chicken, blue chicken eggs, honey etc. Scrambled Duck eggs are awesome!
The girls are really loud quacks and the boys sound horse, as if they lost their voice. The boys also have a curl on their tail but they will not have it until the go through their final molto.
First time I tried duck eggs, they were disgusting and gamey but I’m a foodie so I always try things repeatedly. I can’t stand the thought that there is a food I won’t eat 🤣 anyway, I tried a diff duck egg and loved it (not sure if it was the type of duck or how they are raised that made the difference). What I like about duck eggs is that they don’t smell or taste sulfury like chicken eggs do. I still like chicken eggs too.

did you find any? i started eating duck eggs a few years ago. they are absolutely amazing! there are hobby farms all over here on Vancouver Island.

Duck eggs tend to cool the body down compared to chicken eggs for some weird reason ..and would definitely recommend it during hot seasons...

Mine get some grain. However ducks are even better at grazing than chickens.

Hey! Thank you for the video. Can you please tell me at which age the ducks start laying eggs. My ducks are about 4 months older now.
About 6 months give or take depending on the breed and time of year. Mine started laying in late summer their first year and layed all winter.

I don't have a scientific answer but the duck egg shells are much thicker and waxy. I expect them to last longer
