Only started watching but I can already see this is a clean and refreshingly simple guide that does not make a ton of assumptions about prior experience.
These vids are a gift. Very respectful and very very well explained. Helped me alot with returning to wow (played from tbc to legion) but so much classes have changed and these video’s are my start when trying a new class.

@@casaspadel on pull, it’s usually my first few casts, pre pull is setting atonement’s, first few post pull casts are PtW, I get it on like 3-5 targets and than cast a penance to spread it if needed and than get into my actual dps/heal rotations. I like to look at it as a Druid’s rejuvenation, get em up, get em rolling and forget about them until it’s time to reapply it if you talent into it, I think penance can extend the duration of them, tho not taken in every build that’s out there currently.

Depends who needs healing. Also don’t feel like you absolutely must 100% heal through atonement. Flash heal & penance are fine here and there for example for minor healing. For which skill - Radiance is fantastic in M+ as it does 5 people, has 2 charges & is on a 15s recharge so should be up a lot of the time! Hope that was helpful
Disc priest is a reactive healer, in m+ you basically want to keep PWS on cooldown on the tank. As far as the rest of your party, you’re going to need to know the pulls and the damage they do and pre apply atonement if aoe or group wide damage is coming. As a disc priest once you start casting non instant cast flash heals for healing, you’re in trouble. While in 10.2 the rotation of disc priest got a lot easier and less rampy, there is most certainly still a ramp style play to the class. For big aoe group dmg you want to pre cast pws on tank, I usually get renews on the rest of the group before the pull and the ramp is radiance, mindbender, Mind blast, pwd, dark reprimand, halo, smite until one of the ladder spells comes off CD. You’re mindbender cleaves on targets when you cast mind blast and swd so you want to get as many of those cast while your mind bender is active. Flash heal should really only be used when it’s instant cast or between pulls to top your group up. Penance should only be used as a heal if there is only one person who needs healing, you loose significant value casting it on a friendly rather than an enemy. PWL is no longer taken as the other choice on the node gives a more consistent throughput. As far as ultimate penitence, it’s a cool spell, fun to use and does decent dmg/healing. This spell can and will get you in trouble if you are using it at poor times.
Throw a shield on the tank and if group damage is low your smite with the 2 piece tier will extend the tanks attonment by 2 seconds per smite. Flash heal will put attonement on you if you have binding heal so keep that in mind. During heavy aoe healing I will radiance and start my mind bender window and then sacrifice one of my torments to recast radiance half way through the window. Best advise I can give is practice that mind bender window on a dummy and know exactly how many penance and deaths you can get in the window for inescapable torment. Your dps window will look like this, bender-mind blast-penance-swd-smite until penance is up-penance-smite until penance and or death is up. Should get 5-7 torments from the mindbender depending on if you have the tier 4 piece. Overall great guide.
I suggest looking up automaticjak or justdiscipline. They are actually disc priest healers and know what they are talking about. Justdisc plays a little different build than most people but he knows what he’s doing, and has a lot of good thorough information in his videos.

You didn’t talk about purge the wicked dot, you don’t use it or just throw it on a few targets before getting into your main rotation?
You’re gonna want it on as many targets as you can get it on, it’s free healing basically

i don't know about reactive, probably proactive. reactive to me is more hpal, holy priest (not disc), and shaman.@@dylan24848
ive been trying this for a week now. i am 470ilvl and only popping 60k hps, everything exacly as you said to do, still bad heals.
