I noticed some of these things when we rode it last month. Fun fact: The owner of my local theme park, a few states away, was at the same auction as Walt for a train. Our owner loved Disneyland and wanted to fashion our theme park like it (so we also have a small main street). He and Walt got into a bidding war over #7 and it ended up in our theme park ❤️
The hidden characters in the popcorn just blew my mind! Disney Imaginneering took the hidden mickey's to another level with that one! And that line queue is simply amazing! You really have to have a good eye for spotting things to notice the writing on the truss beams! I can't wait to experience the queue!
I love the look and feel that this version of the ride gives you. I do think that Mickey and Minnies runaway railway fits better in Toon town than it does Hollywood Studios. I am still glad it is at Hollywood studios, but I do think the feeling the ride gives you is better at Disneyland
Pluto's Christmas Tree is one of my absolute favorites! Had the VHS of that cartoon when I was little and it warms my heart seeing props from it in real life, they did such a great job! Thank you for the video TPM!
"The Absent-Minded Professor Von Drake" would just be a feature-length theatrical version of the Von Drake shorts from House of Mouse and I'd be all for it
TPM vids, you are one of my idols. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now and it inspired me to love the Disney parks. The information you gave us is stuff I’ve never known before and I would never know if you didn’t post your content. Thank you so much for th8s content, it has certainly changed my life. Keep up the great work!
I think I want to travel to Disneyland now just to look around the queue of this ride, haha. All of those posters are super cute and creative! All of them sound interesting, but if only one would ever be turned into an actual film, I would definitely see MICKEY, I SHRUNK THE NIECES. I just love the minds of the Disney Imagineers and what they create for us in the Disney parks!! I absolutely love your videos! I was excited to see a new “Hidden Secrets” one as they are a definite favorite for me. I watched them from time to time and actually binged watched almost all of them over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for putting them together for us! :)
YES!!! I am a die hard TPM Vids fan but any video based souley on Disneyland California is by far my favorite!! This is because it’s the only park i ever go to so it has a special place in my heart! Keep up the good work!❤🎉😝🥰
They put furniture that was referencing scenes from old cartoons and movies I really LOVE that detail almost makes me feel like I'm in the picture with the characters or at a museum with those items there
There was an Easter egg to the “Lonesome Ghosts” short in the ticket booth. A newspaper clipping of the Ghost Hunting Crew is placed under the to-do list.
Always a great day when TPM uploads! Also, do you accept Universal Studios attraction malfunctions? I was on Spider-Man and the screens frozen and we did the rest of the ride without audio, I caught it all on video.
I was on Transformers back in December, and I noticed that only two of the screens aren't working along with some of the audio, but I didn’t caught them on camera because I was way to busy listening to Transformers-themed music that would fit with the ride.
“High School Goofical” all the way! I love all three original movies, (even the series) and it would be so great to see how Disney transforms that iconic movie including all the songs and drama!! “We’re all in this together,” “The start of something new,” and much more would be perfect songs for the original Disney Family with Mickey, Minnie, and everyone else!! I love these videos, thank you #tpmvids for all this Disney magic and secrets!! ❤
One of my favourite Easter eggs in the queue is the Mousekadoer from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Seeing it gives me a lot of nostalgia, and I used to watch the show a lot when I was a younger kid.
I would love someone to acknowledge the other Disney Afternoon nods in the case! There's Gummi Bears (made with real Gummiberry Juice!) and Mallard Cups with the Darkwing Duck font, a nod to Drake Mallard of Darkwing Duck.
1:15 I spotted some more Easter eggs here! Next to the letter which displays some names of the Beagle Boys there is a bit from a ripped up newspaper that says “We exterminate all kinds of GHOSTS”…which is a reference to Lonesome Ghosts. Next to the Lonesome Ghost reference we have this bit of paper that says “EARN $999.99!”. That is a reference to the want ad in Runaway Brain for Dr.Frankenollie’s brain switch with Julius(although that part is not mentioned in the paper). Suprised that they have that considering the reputation that the short has had with the monstrous version of Mickey Mouse, nice to see that Disney still knows about it.
Out of every fake movie in Mickey and Minnies runaway railway I think goofy Friday would be the best one to turn into an actual film it just has a lot of potential
TPM vids! Keep up the good work, since you created your channel, I started watching your videos, and since that, u never disappoint! Everyone knows you deserve more subs!
Honestly, I can 100% imagine Disney making Toonsies as an animated version of Newsies considering they’ve set precedence by making A Christmas Carol. I’d love to see the High School Goofical trilogy. Musicals are really on brand for Disney.
Hi tpmvids!!! I love your videos so much! I’ve only been to Disney once but I know so much about all the Disney parks because of you! We love you and thank you for making videos for us ❤
3:22 Tbh, I’d choose, “Mickey I Shrunk The Neices”. the reason is because i love “Honey I Shrunk The Kids” original movie, and used to watch it all the time as a kid.
Some might not remember that there was a good 1985 Disney tv show called The Adventures of the Gummi Bears. And that the Gummi bear pack made from real Gummi berry juice is a reference to that show.
Cool! The day I was born is when Toon Town Opened! - I wish Walt Disney World would've kept their Toon Town - but maybe one day I'll be able to go to Disneyland and see it. As a smol aside: Why don't we make stuff look like the "Futuristic" stuff from the 50s? Who wouldn't wanna ride a train that looked like that one! It could be totally modern and just have the facade of the old style!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Darkwing Duck themed "Mallard Cups" you can make out at about 8:30, right next to the reference to Adventures of the Gummi Bears. And is that Doofus Drake I spot in the Mighty Ducks poster?
When I visited the ride in California, i saw many more references, from mickeys disney junior shows. First, is the mouscadoor from mickey mouse clubhouse. Then, I saw trophies from mickey and the roaster racers, and mickey mouse mixed-up adventures.
At 2:53 they should have put all six different Disney characters High School Musical poster because if it was me I would feel bad being Ashley Tisdale that I didn't get a character spoof of me, but it is what it is. Disney is so amazing at putting every little tiny little detail into the park and little Easter eggs everywhere as well as in their movies❤ they are so amazing what they do ❤
Imagineers NAILED the theming on this ride & queue line! I kinda wish they had made an original ride & building for HWS & updated the GMR to a journey through Disney movies! Praying Disney bring it to Walt Disney Studios in Paris 🙏🏼 it would be a great addition
Fun fact: at 7:48 you can see “powerlimes” right? Well you can actually buy them at the gift shop when you exit the ride, they are actually really good, and i still have a unopened one from my last trip
Harder to think up those movie poster nods but three classics that could work would be That Annoying Figueroa - That Darn Cat The Radiator Racer - The Love Bug Toady Toady Bang Bang - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
I'm sad that you didn't talk about the Gummi Bears next to the Laugh-O-grahams. Also, it's little touches like this that make me respect Disney over other entertainment companies.
7:17 The name “Will Ryan” sounds a lot like the guy who voices the Ranger in asdfmovie2 along with the astronauts in the deleted scenes, but I think it's a totally different guy with the same name.
Yeah, I think that Will Ryan is the TH-camr DAGames who's most known for his Songs about FNAF and Bendy and the Ink Machine. Didn't even think about the fact they share the same name.
I would love to see "honey I shrunk the nieces" in theaters. And I think a Mickey adaptation of Hamilton would make for a great show too or at least a poster.
3:21 - I’d love to see Meeska Mooska. I can already imagine the casting. Max Goof as Max Dennison Roxanne as Allison Donald Duck as Billy Butcherson Figaro as Binx
There are two hidden secrets you missed. Behind the mr Lincoln potato are wires in the shape of a mickey. And the box that has the prince and the pauper costumes has the release date of the film on the top by the mouskedoer.
1:33 I mean, Those Beagle Boys really want to see that movie. Sure, their Crooks (And are proud of it) but that doesn't mean they have to be Shunned by everybody.
I believe the cartoon toasty is also a reference to the Mickey Mouse shorts. She look almost a bit too similar to the Cruise director named Erica from the short “ Shipped out”.
@tpmvids Where the disco Micky mouse stuff is goofys hat was above stuck in wires It refers to a goofy short In the short Goofy is trying to have a perfect game day and he goes to buy a tv but later in the short goofy ends up buying to many tvs and he gets tied but in a bunch of wires That's at least what I thought the goofy hat in wires was referring too I hoped that helped ≤3😊
We went on this ride twice in one day last year. We’re going to Disneyland again this year for convention. It’s not at Disneyland but it’s near there. It’s a church thing every year that’s in different states
If I had to choose just one of the fake posters to turn into a real thing.... Easily The Mouseketeer! I love the original film! Also would love to have that poster hanging up. :)
Did you notice that next to the paper that said no cheques for the beagle boys there is actually a notice Mickey goofy and Donald ghost extermination for day and night services.
I would say the hocus-pocus, Mom, because how do you spell kids have to be one of the family household favorite movies? We have a tradition where we watch hocus-pocus every Halloween
I glad this video came! I should try out Disneyland California. I've only been at Disney World about 4 times. That's the only Disney Theme park I've been. Keep staying Magical TPMVids! 😀
Hey Tpm about more than 2 weeks ago I sent in some malfunctions because I love those videos so I was wondering when you were going to make another one of those.
I noticed some of these things when we rode it last month.

I really like that they have Roxanne in the High School Goofical 3 poster. I feel like she doesn't get enough love from Disney.
YESSSS

I am in awe of all the incredible people who worked on this ride! So much creativity and talent. Extra props to all of them!
"The Absent-Minded Professor Von Drake" would just be a feature-length theatrical version of the Von Drake shorts from House of Mouse and I'd be all for it

This ride is a clear love letter to Mickey Mouse, like heck they put so many references into this one ride, even referencing to very old cartoons.
I think I want to travel to Disneyland now just to look around the queue of this ride, haha. All of those posters are super cute and creative! All of them sound interesting, but if only one would ever be turned into an actual film, I would definitely see MICKEY, I SHRUNK THE NIECES.

@TPMvid. not funny
Hidden secret videos make me even more excited to go to Disney this summer. I appreciate all these videos you make.

The Disneyland Viewliner was based off the appearance of the General Motors Aerotrain. Two of which survive today.
