Since I've heard their vocals I can't resist of smiling due to happiness because from the starting point, I really felt the emotions in their voices and I know this is another a masterpiece- a song that depicts class and decency even though romance is the theme. So happy Starship did not overdo the craft since both have strong vocals especially Hyorin. Joo Young's voice really suits in hiphop-ish RnB like this. It was very cool and light for a masculine voice. The story of the mv was also poetic, making it a plus to the overall product. Good job Starship! HyorinXJooYoung Fighting!

Joo Young's voice isn't very "powerful". His specialty is more his sweet/soulful voice. Hyorin's voice is usually dynamic and powerful, which is everything Joo Young is not. lol. She did a very good job in matching him so she doesn't overshadow him throughout the song. Esp since this is Joo Young's first real appearance/release under the label, this song is more for Joo Young's benefit than it is for Hyorin's. Starship is handling the artists under SSX quite well. :)
The way I look at it is Hyorin does have an amazing powerful voice and she can belt high notes, we all know this, but she doesn't have to prove of her ability in every single song she does. Calmer songs are as you say "good for the soul". We all know what she can do =-]
She tuned down her voice a bit so that Jooyoung's R&B color can stand out. Another reason that starship is promoting them as a duo rookie (which means you can expect more songs from them in the future) rather than a duet. If Hyolyn wants to show her techniques, she will do it in SISTAR's song and her solo.

Everybody knows that Hyorin has a powerful voice. Literally, EVERYBODY. That's why it's good that she doesn't allow herself to be pigeon-holed and did something different, something that she personally liked as opposed to what's constantly expected of her. Artists need to be allowed to grow, experiment and expand their repertoire, otherwise it gets stale and boring for them and when it gets boring for them, it comes across in their music and who wants that honestly?

This video could of have been them sitting in a box wearing sweat pants and I would of have still loved it, The emotional delivery of Hyorin was perfect. Her way of releasing her notes with an airy breath made you connect to the song without the video. It is what SYJ of 4Men does. Jooyoung smooth sound which was a pitch above Hyorin and very clear gave the song a balance to the emotional singing from Hyorin. To say the least I love the song, The video as some as you are saying is like troublemaker and it is not. What is similar is the appeal trouble maker had. It is just in an lower does of sex appeal but it is still just as sexy with more class.

I came here for Hyorin but damn, JooYoung's vocals is amazing! I REALLY love the beat and the sound of this song, but of course, as others have pointed out, the rap really takes away from it. It's such a solid song without it and unnecessary as both are such great vocalist. The video is my style, definitely doesn't remind me Troublemaker. I think it's classy, sexy (in a subtle way), and mature. I'm looking out for JooYoung in the future and I will for sure be putting this in my playlists.
I love love LOVE Hyorin's voice. She may not technically skilled as singers like IU or Ailee (I genuinely don't know, not a singer) but the huskiness of her voice is so intriguing and really lends itself to the jazz style in this song.
Leah Light It depends on who you ask. On IU and Ailee's videos, there are people exactly like you saying the exact same thing about IU and Ailee. Quite frankly, I don't really care who is technically more talented. If one singer appeals more to one person than another, that's fine.
themmadhatter I think what you are referring to is just the style of their singing :) Like Hyorin doesnt focus on her control of smoothness of her voice as much as Ailee and IU and instead has a shit ton of power in her voice. She could definitely try improving in those other areas but it just doesnt suit her husky voice as much as how she currently sings. TBH it's just all different ways that they sing, so you're right it's all about personal preference :)

I had to watch the mv again and again to finally understand(maybe i didn't understand it xD) but here's my theory: Hyorin and Jooyoung sitting in a bar represents that they're close yet far away from each other. Past Hyorin has bangs and the present one doesn't. So Hyorin is with Takuyo now but still trying to forget Jooyoung. While she was in bed upside down, she thought for a second that Takuya is Jooyoung. When the rap part ends the lyrics says '' You will fall in love with another guy'' then Takuya's in the screen. When Hyorin was in the telephone booth she was ending things with Jooyoung but she still remembers him. after that Takuya is looking the clock, he sees that the Jooyoung's time is over and Hyorin is changed now. He smiles because of that.Then the old Hyorin comes in because Jooyoung still didn't forget the old Hyorin and she's still with him. I don't know if this make sense to you tho :D

It instantly reminded me of Trouble Maker. The overall concept as brillianty executed as it is-is reminescent of Trouble Maker's previous concept and imagery. That being said I must admit that the song is key to their distinction. It's no secret that although Hyuna is a remarkable entertainer she isn't the best vocalist known to this day, whereas Hyolyn has somewhat of a soul and maturity proper to true singer which skills goes far beyond the K-pop industry. I had never heard of JooYoung until a just a moment ago. He reminds me very much of Crush. He seems to be just as skilled. I find this release thouroughly refreshing. The song is quite lovely, well interpreted. Visually I am sold, I find it quite tasteful, they it doesn't seem to me like they tried too hard. Very well done Startship, I will be lookign froward to their live performance.
I think that the story is about how Hyorin is currently in a relationship with Takuya(bartender) but still misses JooYoung a lot. All the light scenes are with Takuya, showing how she's having a better time but because she still misses her ex, Takuya can sense it too. She's torn but she knows she can't go back, she's trying to "erase" him but in the end she still sees (Quite literally LOL) herself with JooYoung, hence the second hyorin. In the end, awkward moment for everyone XD Love this song

Wow where the hell have I been. Every time I saw this video in my suggestions, I never pressed it, but now I finally did after hearing an amazing song sung by Jooyoung. Damn. This is one fine song and video. There are so many things to appreciate here. First, the lyrics: the fantastic flow of storytelling with the hellos and the goodbyes. Second, the video: with the amazing delivery of emotion and chemistry in the acting. Third, the dance: the smooth and sensual parts choreography. And last (at least in this list) but certainly not least, the voices: Hyolyn and Jooyoung's harmonies with their soul-filled voices, and Iron's rapping. Ugh. I could talk forever about this song, and I still wouldn't be able to cover everything that I love about it. I've already said too much. But it really is a song to be appreciated. I really like it.

Ok, in my opinion, the story is about breaking up and erasing memories. In the beginning, Hyolyn/ Hyorin smiles and flirts (kinda) with the bartender. Jooyoung smooth sound which was a pitch above Hyorin and very clear gave the song a balance to the emotional singing from Hyorin. To say the least I love the song, The video as some as you are saying is like troublemaker and it is not. What is similar is the appeal trouble maker had. It is just in an lower does of sex appeal but it is still just as sexy with more class.

I came here for Hyorin but damn, JooYoung's vocals is amazing! I REALLY love the beat and the sound of this song, but of course, as others have pointed out, the rap really takes away from it. It's such a solid song without it and unnecessary as both are such great vocalist. The video is my style, definitely doesn't remind me Troublemaker. I think it's classy, sexy (in a subtle way), and mature. I'm looking out for JooYoung in the future and I will for sure be putting this in my playlists.

I love love LOVE Hyorin's voice. She may not technically skilled as singers like IU or Ailee (I genuinely don't know, not a singer) but the huskiness of her voice is so intriguing and really lends itself to the jazz style in this song.
technically she's a much more skilled vocalist than IU and on par with Ailee.
Personally I love her unique voice the most.

themmadhatter I think what you are referring to is just the style of their singing :) Like Hyorin doesnt focus on her control of smoothness of her voice as much as Ailee and IU and instead has a shit ton of power in her voice. She could definitely try improving in those other areas but it just doesnt suit her husky voice as much as how she currently sings. TBH it's just all different ways that they sing, so you're right it's all about personal preference :)

I had to watch the mv again and again to finally understand(maybe i didn't understand it xD) but here's my theory: Hyorin and Jooyoung sitting in a bar represents that they're close yet far away from each other. Past Hyorin has bangs and the present one doesn't. So Hyorin is with Takuyo now but still trying to forget Jooyoung. While she was in bed upside down, she thought for a second that Takuya is Jooyoung. When the rap part ends the lyrics says '' You will fall in love with another guy'' then Takuya's in the screen. When Hyorin was in the telephone booth she was ending things with Jooyoung but she still remembers him. after that Takuya is looking the clock, he sees that the Jooyoung's time is over and Hyorin is changed now. He smiles because of that.Then the old Hyorin comes in because Jooyoung still didn't forget the old Hyorin and she's still with him.

It instantly reminded me of Trouble Maker. The overall concept as brillianty executed as it is-is reminescent of Trouble Maker's previous concept and imagery. That being said I must admit that the song is key to their distinction. It's no secret that although Hyuna is a remarkable entertainer she isn't the best vocalist known to this day, whereas Hyolyn has somewhat of a soul and maturity proper to true singer which skills goes far beyond the K-pop industry. I had never heard of JooYoung until a just a moment ago. He reminds me very much of Crush. He seems to be just as skilled. I find this release thouroughly refreshing. The song is quite lovely, well interpreted. Visually I am sold, I find it quite tasteful, they it doesn't seem to me like they tried too hard.
Very well done Startship, I will be lookign froward to their live performance.
I think that the story is about how Hyorin is currently in a relationship with Takuya(bartender) but still misses JooYoung a lot. All the light scenes are with Takuya, showing how she's having a better time but because she still misses her ex, Takuya can sense it too. She's torn but she knows she can't go back, she's trying to "erase" him but in the end she still sees (Quite literally LOL) herself with JooYoung, hence the second hyorin. In the end, awkward moment for everyone XD Love this song

Wow where the hell have I been. Every time I saw this video in my suggestions, I never pressed it, but now I finally did after hearing an amazing song sung by Jooyoung. Damn. This is one fine song and video. There are so many things to appreciate here. First, the lyrics: the fantastic flow of storytelling with the hellos and the goodbyes. Second, the video: with the amazing delivery of emotion and chemistry in the acting. Third, the dance: the smooth and sensual parts choreography. And last (at least in this list) but certainly not least, the voices: Hyolyn and Jooyoung's harmonies with their soul-filled voices, and Iron's rapping. Ugh. I could talk forever about this song, and I still wouldn't be able to cover everything that I love about it. I've already said too much. But it really is a song to be appreciated. I really like it.

Ok, in my opinion, the story is about breaking up and erasing memories. In the beginning, Hyolyn/ Hyorin smiles and flirts (kinda) with the bartender. JooYoung sits there and they share some eyecontacts which seems like they have some sort of realtionship. Then, their memories keep rushing through their (or her) mind(s). In the last scene, another Hyolyn comes in, so the whole thing may be Hyolyn's memories about JooYoung. She keeps smiling at the bartender in hopes of forgetting her ex...
