Taiji has increased their quota for melon-headed whales. Last season 200, this season up to 300!!! They want to exterminate these dolphins too.

I watched a docu that says they do this so they dont have to compete with the dolphins for fish to eat..

They have claimed this in the past and it's definitely possible that they still have that mindset, but the only thing keeping these hunts profitable is the ones they sell into captivity.
