What normal 24-year old seeks out a 48-year old man?? In real life yes, as sugardaddies or if he is a millionaire. I really don't understand how men or women think they attract these young people especially as they have never met each other.
I never fell or gave money to anyone. Mainly in story #1. When the guy offered to pick her up & everything. When They say "No" firmly That's a red flag right there.
If victim #2 had blocked her, why oh why was he still getting messages from her? Block means block. And if they pop up under another identity, block that too. Any conversation this guy had “post-block” just doesn’t make sense.
The scammer came back several times with various profiles, including pretending to be the mother and attorney. Unfortunately when you block a scammer, they just keep coming back and it is always advisable to keep blocking of course.
I wouldn't allow a relationship if i couldn't at least have really good quality video chats and phone calls. Best thing is to go places and join groups where people your age are.
Joe...something like this happened to me as well. Fortunately I caught it before I lost any money but I totally get how someone could be taken by such a scam artist. I really really wish there was a dating app for people who have been scammed in the same way. The vetting would be nearly impossible so I doubt there is any real way to do that, but you should know that there are people, still, who are around and don't do the scamming thing or even social media. I have since closed down my chat apps and I only use the internet/Facebook for business and family stuff. And of course TH-cam channels like this one. You sound like a really great guy! Don't let what she did ruin everything for you. Keep your eyes on the prize (which I find isn't always a love relationship), head up and live and learn!
I'm happy the second guy had family, especially his niece who helped him see the truth. The vile worm who targeted him was never going to stop - these wretched thieves could get honest work if they wrote for soap operas. In those programs, each episode ends with viewers always wanting more. It's good to know the second man has educated himself so he knows scammers will try everything to get him to send more money. And he's apparently aware that others will promise to recover his lost funds, for a fee of course. All lies. Everyone should do what he did - he told people about his online connection. If it's genuinely good, the other person would be happy to have friends and family informed. These situations were trouble from the very start.
😢 I too was scammed badly & now am wiser even tho broke but notice 🚩🚩🚩🚩 now & block. Too bad there's not a support site for us who were scammed & I know scammers would use it as well. But I've set boundaries & only give to who I know in person & not online anymore!!!
Only time I give money on line is when I buy stuff. Never ever give to complete strangers. I don't even trust people on the streets. On facebook My spam folder was so filled with requests from strange people. lot of them scammers.
There are good people who can help you. Sharing the story is step 1. Learn from this experience and move on. Don't live in fear, fight back by sharing. You can do this, I also was scammed, forgive yourself. The scambaiters are there for you.
Doesn't anybody in America know how hospital bills work? Ofgs, everybody knows ya get the hospital bill AFTER your surgery, not before down to the last cent! I'm sorry but that's dumb AH!
Well in many parts of the US, hospitals will have you pay a certain amount upfront, until the insurance can pick it up. It happened like that with my cousins surgery. I Can see it being feasible and believable to an extent.
Thank you scamming scammers for another informative stories.

Lonely hearts block logical thoughts. Many fall for scammers or in person toxic people. Not all liars are online scammers
😂😂😂😂
Im glad the second guy didn't lose more money. Anyone who guilts you for THEIR problems or makes you responsible for their problems IS the problem
Well said and applies in real life too!!

Age is just a number - typical scammer talk!

That's why they don't want you tell anybody about the relationship...because they would be found out.
I mean it sounds so ridiculous.

Gee, most internet models are going to be filled with excitement and glee with the idea of losing weight! 🙄
Shouldn't the second guy have realized that cancer surgery would be soooo super expensive being in the States? This mailman is very silly and foolish.
